TheMortal Kombat 1pre-order betais live right now on PS5 and Xbox Series X and will be available until August 21. The only way fans can get access to the beta is by pre-orderingMortal Kombat 1on PS5 or Xbox Series X. No plans for a PC or Switch pre-order beta have been announced at the time of this writing. The beta features online versus multiplayer and the Tower mode, along with six playable characters to choose from.
TheMortal Kombat 1pre-order beta gives players a small sample of the game’s roster: Johnny Cage, Kenshi, Kitana, Li Mei, Liu Kang, and Sub-Zero. An even smaller selection ofKameo Fightersare available to choose from in the pre-order beta: Frost, Jax, Kano, and Sonya. TheMortal Kombat 1pre-order beta only has two stages to choose from as well, but the final product will obviously have many more fighters and stages.
Mortal Kombatfans will have the opportunity to play the full game early, as long as they’re willing to pay $109.99 for the Premium Edition or $249.99 for the Kollector’s Edition.Mortal Kombat 1early accesslets players jump into the new fighting game five days ahead of schedule, meaning that those that shell out some extra cash can play on September 14 instead of September 19. Anyone impressed by theMortal Kombat 1pre-order beta may want to consider upgrading their copy of the game to get early access if they haven’t already.
