Vash the Stampede, the hero ofTrigun Stampede, had a makeover from his original design for the latestTrigunseries. His iconic red jacket’s design was upgraded from its appearance in the 1998 anime. Now, Japanese pop culture fashion brand SuperGroupies are releasing a new collaboration project withTrigun Stampedethat includes a real version of Vash’s new jacket so that you may wear it, too.
Trigun Stampedeis the latest part of theTrigunfranchise. The original anime aired back in 1998, and there was nothing else until a movie in 2010. Now,Trigun Stampedebegan airing in January 2023, much to the excitement of diehardTrigunfans who couldn’t wait to see what the series was going to do next. So far, the anime has been really well-received, with high ratings across multiple anime websites.

SuperGroupies is a Japanese fashion brand famous for their anime and game inspired clothing items, which combine otaku culture with Japanese street fashion designs. Most of their items are just inspired by anime rather than a direct replica, but this newVash the Stampedejacket is true to the design in the anime. It has the “Project SEEDS” logo on the chest and sleeve, a high neck collar, and a transistor radio printed on the inside pocket - and of course, its bright red! The jacket will sell for $250 USD, so its not cheap, but sometimes you have to pay to look cool.
There are a few other items inspired byTrigun Stampedealso included in the upcoming release. One is a $200 USD backpack that looks like Nicholas D. Wolfwood’s weapon, the Punisher. It is complete a tag listing Wolfwood’s orphanage, his name, enhancement drug vials, the Eye of Michael symbol, and a crushed cigarette. There is also a watch inspired byMillions Knives, with designs for his weapon and appearance, and a blue stone to represent his eye. The watch will retail for $230 USD.
None of these items are cheap, but they are high-quality. While it is possible, of course, to find cheaper anime clothing and items, SuperGroupies is all about quality. It is also considered ahigh fashion brand in Japan, and you are paying for the brand’s name as well as for the product itself. SuperGroupies is hard to find for sale at brick and mortar stores, so it is much safer to order their products from their website.
TheTrigun Stampedecollection will be available for pre-order from April 2nd, 2023. The bags and jackets will be sent out first, around September, and the watches will be shipped later in October. This long turnaround time between the time of order and shipping means that these items will be very limited, and are likely being made to order with very few extras.
