Yelan’s best team compositions inGenshin Impactmostly consist of teams that work well with Xingqiu. Of course, this is no surprise as the two have a very similar mechanic, where both Xingqiu and Yelan can deal great off-field Hydro damage while providing top-tier Hydro application. Yelan’s Elemental Burst hits thrice every time, so like Xingqiu, she will also reset the Internal Cooldown for Elemental Reactions.

To summarize, here are the best team compositions for YelaninGenshin Impact.
Updated July 02, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah: The Chasm was one of the most awaited areas in Genshin Impact, and it was finally released in version 2.6. However, the more exciting update was released shortly after, where Sumeru comes in Genshin Impact 3.0. The Dendro land didn’t only come with new quests and intriguing puzzles, but also with the anticipated Dendro Element. As one of the best Hydro enablers, it’s no surprise that Yelan works well in some Dendro-related Reactions. Therefore, this article is updated to include Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon team comp for Yelan in Genshin Impact.

Raiden’s National Team
Yelan is widely known asthe substitute for Xingqiu inGenshin Impact, so it’s no surprise that she will work well in Raiden Shogun’s National Team. With Raiden on the team, players can fully focus on maximizing Yelan’s DMG without worrying about her Energy Recharge. This will truly bring the best out of Yelan.
Hu Tao Vaporize
Before Yelan was released, rumors circulated among the community saying that Yelan can’t work with Hu Tao. Of course, this was a big disappointment as theHu Tao Vaporize combo is currently one of the best pairs inGenshin Impact.
Luckily, the rumors turn out to not be as bad as expected. There are some cases where Yelan will mess up the Vaporize reactions with Hu Tao (when Hu Tao’s Blood Blossom applies Pyro on the enemy, for example). But other than that, Yelan is a great pair with the prankster queen (albeit not as good as Xingqiu).

Yelan has an amazing Hydro application, so she can easily play as an enabler for a Permafreeze Team. However, becauseYelan’s Elemental Burst only triggers on Normal Attack and not Charged Attack, players can’t use her for thetypicalGenshin ImpactMorgana Team, where Ganyu isn’t a very good pair with her. Luckily, Kamisato Ayaka can still trigger Yelan’s Burst as Sword users always hit a Normal Attack before performing their Charged Attack.
Vaporize Team
This Vaporize Team is another Yelan team composition where she replaces Xingqiu’s job. However, note that, unlike the Raiden’s National Team, players will need to pay attention to Yelan’s Energy Recharge in this comp.
Superconduct Kokomi Team
Yelan has a Passive that increases her HP based on the number of Elements in the team. However, this shouldn’t discourage players from using characters that wield the same Vision as Elemental Resonance can still be more beneficial. For example, thanks to the Hydro Resonance, pairing Yelan with Sangonomiya Kokomi allows the Watatsumi Priestess to amplify her healing.
The idea of Superconduct Kokomi Team isto maximize her Ocean-Hued Clam bubble damage. Because the bubbles deal Physical Damage, triggering Superconduct will reduce the enemy’s Physical Resistance, eventually increasing the bubble’s damage.

To do this, players will need a Cryo and Electro character to trigger the reaction. Meanwhile, Yelan and Sangonomiya Kokomi will be there as the damage dealers.
Bloom Team
The normal Bloom team is not as powerful as Hyperbloom and Burgeon, but the support of Nilou makes this team comp one of the best. With Nilou converting Dendro Cores into Bountiful Cores, players are guaranteed to deal large Bloom DMG effortlessly. In this team, Yaoyao will be the healer, while Nahida will be the one playing as the main DPS, allowing Yelan to trigger her Elemental Burst. Players can also use Alhaitham as the main DPS.
Hyperbloom Team
Yelan Hyperbloom team comp inGenshin Impactshould have a reliable Electro enabler to trigger the reaction. For this, players can either use Kuki Shinobu or Raiden Shogun. If Travelers choose to use other Electro enabler, Dendro MC should be replaced by Kokomi for healing.
Burgeon Team
Burgeon comp for Yelan team needs a Pyro enabler. However, this character should be able to apply Pyro without triggering other reactions like Vaporize or Burning. Because of this, the candidate for this job is narrowed significantly. Players can use eitherThoma’sBurst,Dehya’sSkill, or a controlled hit fromYanfei.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
