Xinyan isGenshin Impact’sresident rock ‘n roll aficionado. With a Pyro Vision and expertise in Claymores, Xinyan uses fire and flash to dominate in combat. As a four-star character, she’s featured on event banners from time to time, but also permanently available like other four-stars.

Anyone who wants to use Xinyan on their team should, of course, level her up to the max level of 90 and upgrade her talents. Here’s everything needed to help Xinyan reach those higher levels of potential.
Leveling Materials
AllGenshin Impactcharacters, regardless of rarity, Vision, or anything else, uses the same number of EXP to reach level 90: 8,362,650. Here’s how much is needed between each ascension level:

Gemstones - Where to Find Agnidus Agate
Finding Agnidus Agate can sometimes be a headache. Two sources include the souvenir shops (in exchange for sigils) and the Adventurers’ Guild when collecting the rewards for completing all four daily commissions. However, many of the gemstones the average player obtains will come from bosses and weekly trounce challenges. These trounce challenges and bosses can reward Agnidus Agate:
*Azhdaha and the Primo Geovishap can only drop Agnidus Agate when they’re aligned with Pyro.

Enemy Drop - Where to Find Treasure Hoarder Insignias
The plague of researchers everywhere, Treasure Hoarders drop insignias when defeated. Many of them can be found around Liyue and Inazuma, though a handful can be encountered in Mondstadt from time to time.

Boss Drop - How to Get Everflame Seeds
While adventuring around Liyue looking for Treasure Hoarders, consider swinging by Cuijue Slope in the Minlin region. It’s here that the Pyro Regisvine can be found.

Defeating this mutated Whopperflower and spending 40 Original Resin will reward the player with some Everflame Seeds. This is the boss drop that Xinyan uses for ascension.
Local Specialty - Where to Find Violetgrass
Every character uses a local specialty to ascend, and Xinyan’s is Violetgrass. These special purple flowers can only be found in Liyue. They can be found almost anywhere in the region, but typically only grow on the sides of cliffs, so obtaining them will require a bit of climbing.
Fortunately, they can also be grown in the player’s Serenitea Pot or purchased. Two vendors sell them: Verr Goldet, who runs the Wangshu Inn, and Herbalist Gui, who works at Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue Harbor. Both of these sellers will stock five Violetgrass at a time, restocking them every three days and charging 1,000 Mora per flower.

The talent book series that Xinyan uses is the Gold series. She’ll also need some more insignias, a few Crowns of Insight, and a trounce drop to upgrade her three talents.

Talent Books - Gold
The Gold series, which is also used by Xingqiu, Zhongli, Yanfei, and Beidou, is obtainable from a few places, including events, the Parametric Transformer, and chests from time to time. However, the majority of them a player obtains will come from completing the Taishan Mansion domain on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Trounce Materials
As for her trounce material, Xinyan uses the Tusk of Monoceros Caeli, which is one of the drops that the player can obtain by defeating Tartaglia/Childe. This fight can be taken on once a week. If they’re having trouble getting this specific material, the player can use Dream Solvent to convert one of Tartaglia’s other materials at a crafting bench.
