Now, Xbox Game Pass' Twitter account has teased something orange coming later this week, prompting many players to believe thatThe Orange Boxis on its way to Game Pass.The Orange Boxis a bundle that featuresHalf-Life 2,Half-Life 2: Episode 1andEpisode 2,Portal, andTeam Fortress 2. Featuring some ofthe best first-person shootersever made, the bundle would be a perfect match for Xbox’s premiere subscription service platform.
Much has been made of Xbox Game Pass' ability to allow players to discover games they otherwise might not have, andThe Orange Boxfeatures so many games that younger gamers and others may discover for the first time.Half-Life 2is often credited with widening people’s expectations for storytelling in first-person shooters, andPortalfeatures some of the best puzzles in gaming. Of course, there is no guarantee that the tweet was really referring toThe Orange Box.
Still, it is unclear what else they could be talking about if they are not referring toThe Orange Box.Sunset Overdrive, a game that features a ton of orange, is already on Game Pass as it was made by a first party studio (at the time), and there are not many other games that feature the color orange prominently either in their title or their gameplay.
A longshot, but it could also mean thatNickelodeon All-Stars Brawlis on its way to the service, as Nickelodeon is associated with the color orange. At this point, there is no exact answer for what the new addition might be, but it will be revealed soon enough.
