Now over halfway through, 2024 continues to be yet another solid year forXbox Game Pass. Though the last few months haven’t featured quite as many high-profile releases as January or February,Xbox Game Pass' library has continued to grow more diverse, with a wealth of games from different genres being added on a regular basis, and July looks to be no exception.
There are currently five games confirmed forXbox Game Pass' July 2024 line-up, and there are already some big names on that list. BothDungeons of HinterbergandFlintlock: The Siege of Dawnare heading to Xbox Game Pass on day one, which happens to be July 18 for both. But oddly enough, the five confirmed Xbox Game Pass titles for July 2024 are all hitting the service in the latter half of the month, meaning there’s a lot of space left to fill. Thankfully, there are plenty of games fans would love to see come to Xbox Game Pass this July.

The most pie-in-the-sky pick for this wish list, it’s highly unlikely thatBaldur’s Gate 3will come to Xbox Game Pass this July, but it would be amazing if it did.The Game Awards' 2023 Game of the Year,Baldur’s Gate 3is a truly groundbreaking RPG that immerses players in the rich world ofDungeons and Dragonsfor its entire, extensive 60+ hour runtime. WithBaldur’s Gate 3having only hit Xbox platforms seven months ago, it seems unlikely that it’ll come to Game Pass anytime soon, though fans can always hope.

After the release ofElden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, the excitement surrounding FromSoftware and its vast library of great games is at an all-time high. While theElden Ring-adjacentDark Soulstrilogy andSekirowould be great to see on Xbox Game Pass, it might actually be more beneficial for FromSoftware to releaseArmored Core 6: Fires of Rubicononto the subscription service, with it showing the versatility of the studio, and offeringElden Ringfans something different.
Xbox Game Pass New Game for July 2024: Mortal Kombat 1
Over the last year or so,Mortal Kombat 1has been gradually adding to its already-sizable roster with a wave of DLC fighters. On July 23, the final fighter (Takeda) inMortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Packwill be released, marking the perfect opportunity forMortal Kombat 1to come to Xbox Game Pass. Though it isn’t without its fair share of criticisms,Mortal Kombat 1is another great entry in the long-standing fighting game franchise, and most of its DLC offerings have been pretty great, withThe Boys' Homelander,Invincible’s Omni-Man, and DC’s Peacemaker now in the game.

While this might be a bit of a cheat entry, it would be great to see just about anyCall of Duty: Black Opsgame come to Xbox Game Pass this July, withBlack Ops 6’s Directkicking the new entry’s hype cycle into gear earlier this month.Call of Duty: Black OpsandBlack Ops 2would probably be the most requested entries to see on Game Pass, though Xbox is yet to put any older Activision games on the service.
