The latest update patch forWWE 2K23has arrived, making major improvements to modes like MyGM and offering up several smaller tweaks across the board.WWE 2K23stepped into the arena last month, allowing fans to take oncover star John Cena in 2K Showcase Mode, chart their own path as a new wrestler looking to make a name for themselves in MyRise, manage one of WWE’s brands from behind the scenes in MyGM, or even build their own powerful team to dominate the roster in MyFaction.
Last year’sWWE 2K22was already seen as a marked improvement for the long-runningWWE 2Kseries, andWWE 2K23handily built on this framework to deliver a solid squared-circle simulator that many are hailing as one of thebest wrestling games of all time. Still, fans have reported many bugs and glitches while battling it out in the ring, as well as a few missing features and outdated superstar entrances. Luckily, developer Visual Concepts has been releasing a series ofWWE 2K23update patches to slowly iron out these issues and add a few perks that didn’t make it into the base game.

Yesterday, 2K Games released the official patch notes forWWE 2K23’s Update 1.08, which is now live and available to download. This newestWWE 2K23update patchadds numerous fixes across the board, with one of the biggest being that MyGM players can now set Triple Threat and Fatal Four Way matches as Title Matches. Using Power Cards and progressing through later seasons are now more stable, and Drama functions for the early parts of the season have been improved.
MyGM Mode isn’t the only aspect ofWWE 2K23being tweaked in the Update 1.08 patch, as the AI for opponents has been improved in several ways. Additionally, online play is more stable, but 8-player matches have been temporarily disabled on Xbox One due to a reported technical issue. There are also improvements for MyRise, Universe, and Create modes, as well as a new group entrance for the heel faction Damage CTRL.
Even about a month since its release, Visual Concepts has done an impressive job in addressing the issues that players have had withWWE 2K23,a marked contrast tothe disastrousWWE 2K20. There are still several features from past entries missing fromWWE 2K23, but many agree that it is a fun wrestling simulator that keeps getting better thanks to the various update patches that have been coming out since launch.
