InElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the Tarnished will face many new and unique bosses in their quest to find Miquella. While most of the bosses are optional, players are recommended to go after the remembrance bosses in theElden RingDLC to collect unique weapons, spells, and Ashes of War.
After defeating a remembrance boss, you will be rewarded with a remembrance of the boss, which can then be traded for a reward from Enia in Roundtable Hold. Almost all remembrances force you to pick from one of the two rewards. If you are interested in collecting both rewards, the only way to do so is by duplicating remembrances.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Remembrance Duplication Guide
Remembrance duplication is a feature inElden Ringthat lets you create an extra copy of a boss remembrance. With this copy, you can claim the second reward as well. In the base game, players can copy the remembrances at walking mausoleums found in different corners of The Lands Between. However, you will not find any walking mausoleums in theElden RingDLC.
To duplicate a remembrance inShadow of the Erdtree, you will have to find remembrance duplication coffins. There are three mausoleum coffins where you can duplicate a remembrance in theElden RingDLC. You can find the mausoleum coffins at the following locations:
Mausoleum Coffin South of the Cathedral of Manus Metyr
The first mausoleum coffin is located near the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, in the northeast part of the Shadow Realm. To get to the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, the easiest path is from the Moorth Ruins in Scadu Altas. From the Moorth Ruins site of grace, head southeast to find a hole leading to the Bonny Village. Go east from the Bonny Village and continue following the road going north to reach the Cathedral of Manus Metyr.
From the Cathedral of Manus Metyr’s entrance, head towards the southern part of the lake. You can find a mausoleum coffin near the water. Refer to the location marked on the above map to find the exact location of the mausoleum coffin in theCathedral of Manus Metyr.
While you are at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, you can consider talking to Count Ymir, as his questline points towards the area where you can find the other two mausoleum coffins. However, you don’t necessarily need to progress his questline to find the coffins.
Mausoleum Coffin East of the Finger Ruins of Rhia Site of Grace
To get to the second mausoleum coffin, you will first have to travel to the Finger Ruins of Rhia site of grace. You can get to the Finger Ruins of Rhia by going east from the place where you found theSouthern Shore map fragment. From the Finger Ruins of Rhia site of grace, head east and, instead of going north to the center of Finger Ruins of Rhia, take the path going to a small cliff to find a mausoleum coffin.
Mausoleum Coffin East of the Fingerstone Hill Site of Grace
The third and final mausoleum coffin is located near the Finger Ruins of Dheo. To get to this area inShadow of the Erdtree, you will first have to unlock the Shadow Keep, Back Gate site of grace. This site of grace is located just before the Commander Gaius boss fight. On the east side of the grace site, you can find a statue of Marika. Perform the “O Mother” gesture in front of it to reveal the path to Hinterland. The“O Mother” gestureis found on a corpse north of Bonny Village in Scadu Altas.
From the Hinterland site of grace, go east to find two Tree Sentinel bosses near a bridge. Just past this bridge is the Fingerstone Hill site of grace. Go further east from here to find aFallingstar Beastenemy. Instead of fighting it, go down to find a mausoleum coffin at the eastern edge of the cliff.
How to Duplicate Remembrances using a Mausoleum Coffin
After you have found a mausoleum coffin inShadow of the Erdtree, you’re able to interact with the coffin to duplicate a remembrance of any boss you have defeated. However, each remembrance can only be duplicated once per playthrough. If you want to collect multiple copies of remembrance weapons, progressing into a new game + playthrough is the only way.
You can also duplicate remembrances from Elden Ring DLC insidewalking mausoleumsin the base game.
