Watch Dogs Legionlets players assume the role of anAssassin’s Creedprotagonist’s relative, it has been confirmed. Ubisoft has teased thevarious skills offered byWatch Dogs Legion’s charactersand this could be extremely helpful to players trying to complete harder missions.
AWatch Dogs Legionpreview video posted by YouTuber JorRaptor and screenshotted by Twitter user ANerdWonder revealed anAssassin’s Creedprotagonist descendant who features in the game. Sandra Cassidy is a professional hitman who comes up in a character’s search for “Jacob Frye descendants” in the DedSec operatives database. Jacob Frye, for those who haven’t played otherAssassin’s Creedgames, is one pf the protagonists of 2015 releaseAssassin’s Creed Syndicate, the other being Jacob’s twin sister Evie.

While it’s unclear how easilyWatch Dogs Legionplayers will be able to find Sandra Cassidy, or any other descendant of anAssassin’s Creedprotagonist, there will be a few professional hitmen in the game. A newWatch Dogs Legiongameplay traileralso showed players using a hitman to infiltrate Mary Kelly’s gang, to disrupt her organ harvesting operation. Using that character, the player garrotes one guard before expertly taking out half a dozen more with some well-placed pistol shots.
Players will be able to take on missions as they see fit, so Sandra Cassidy or any other descendants with assassin or hitman-style skills will give fans just one option. One popular character choice will likely be theTaser-wielding grandma seen in last year’sWatch Dogs Legiontrailers. Trailers have also shown a construction worker who can call in a drone, a drone hacker, and an Albion guard.
Sandra Cassidy is also unlikely to be the onlyAssassin’s CreedEaster eggthat fans can find in the game. In another newWatch Dogs Legiongameplay video, fans can see that same construction worker performing a leap of faith off of a building.
Jacob Frye is also just one of severalAssassin’s Creedprotagonists meaning there could be descendants of others. New gameAssassin’s Creed Valhallais set in England, just likeWatch Dogs Legion, which makes it possible that the games will feature some of the same locations. This hasn’t been confirmed, but as Ubisoft developers seem to really enjoy putting Easter eggs in their games, it does seem likely.
Watch Dogs Legionreleases July 03, 2025 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
