During Season 2 ofWarzone 2.0, no sniper could one-shot a plated enemy. Luckily though, the developers added the one-hit-down feature back to the combat after the Saint Patrick’s Day Event inthe Season 3 update.

The catch, however, is that the default rifles still lack the necessary power to achieve a one-hit kill. Players will need to equip specific attachments, tune them the right way, and go for a headshot to drop an enemy. This guide, therefore, explainshow to make a one-shot-kill sniperafter all the changes in the latest Season.

How To Make A Sniper One-Shot Kill

To make a one-hit-down sniper, players will need toequip the Explosive Ammunition on a bolt-action rifle. The only four weapons that can getone-shot kills with this build are MCPR-300, Victus XMR, Signal 50, and FJX Imperium.

Mag Explosives allow heavy-action snipers to down a fully plated enemy with one body shot in close-range combat and a headshot in long-range. But note that it’s still challenging to get a one-hit kill with rifles in Season 3. Even withthe best build, chances are the enemy will be downed, not eliminated.

The Best One-Hit-Down Sniper Build

An ideal build for a one-shot kill sniper isthe MCPR-300 equipped with the .300 Mag Explosive. To fine-tune this loadout, players can also have Nilsound 90 muzzle, FSS OLV-E laser, Cronen Lion Stock, and 22” OMX-456 barrel.

Here’s how to tune MCPR-300 for one-shot-down power:

Because Explosive rounds lower bullet velocity and cause long-range inaccuracy, the goal of tuning a one-shot sniper should be increasing fire rate and stability in exchange for slower ADS.

While other attachments increase the chance of getting one-shot kills withWarzone 2.0’s snipers, they are not necessary. The only vital item for the build is the Mag Explosive, which players must have on a bolt-action weapon.

As for the perks and equipment, players should go with Overkill andDouble Time as their Base Perks, Spotter as the Bonus Perk, and High Alert as the Ultimate. But since the one-shot-kill build would still require kill-conforming equipment, they are better off with Throwing Knives as their Tactical andSemtex as Lethal.
