Just a week or so ago,Valheimreleased a short video announcingchanges in-game in its Hearth & Home update. The footage showed off how the game’s food system is being revamped to provide variety as well as make a difference between a player’s health and stamina. Now, the development team has dropped another short video. This time providing more details about how health and stamina will differ from each other, and what this means for players of the Viking survival title.
ThoughValheim’s popularity seems to have died down since its beta access release early this 2021, many continue to play the game. Given just how open-world the survival title is, fans are given a variety of experiences. Some focus on buildingincredibly amazing structures inValheim, while others spend their time exploring the massive terrain or fighting the many terrifying creatures. No matter what type of player,Valheimseems to always have something to offer, and more so now that the Hearth and Home update will provide new features for its fans.

On YouTube, Iron Gate recently posted a short video that delves deeper into the changes that theValheimHearth and Home updatewill bring. The narrator focuses on health versus stamina, and how eating these types of food can change a gamer’s playstyle in-game. For example, eating stamina food will be best for attackers as this will give them more energy to keep up their attacks in a fight. For players who prefer to tank and block, health food will increase their overall health bar, allowing them to face foes in longer battles.
According to the video, a player’s overall health bar is directly related to their ability toblock using any ofValheim’s shields. A new stagger bar will also be implemented, which is again affected by the player’s health. Players are warned to keep an eye on this bar, as when it becomes full, this is when they will be staggered. In the Hearth & Home update, being able to keep standing is also directly affected by a player’s health bar. Health and stamina will also play a key part in building a base, with stamina allowing players to keep constructing for longer periods, while health will keep them alive in case of an accidental fall.
Valheim’s upcoming update is slated to be released by the third quarter of 2021. Though no official date has been announced yet, fans are likely looking forward to the new things they can discover in the update. Players should stay tuned to the officialValheimsocial media channels, as the next video will go into more detail about in-game blocking and shields.
