AFallout 4player has shared a clip of their character defeating two Yao Guai while unarmed. There are many ways to defeat theFallout 4bestiary, and the Yao Guai is a hurdle that unarmed players eventually have to overcome.
SinceFallout 4was released, players have progressed through the story using numerous methods. Many gamers take things slow, others rush past a lot of content, and some look for ways to make the experience more challenging. A handful of players cut through enemies using only their fists, with some perks and loot, allowing them to specialize further in unarmed combat.UnarmedFalloutruns are nothing new, as seasoned fans have been doing them since the first two games were released. This player has shared a unique moment from their unarmed run that shows them defeating two Yao Guai simultaneously.

Reddit user Blacklightingthe1st recently shared a briefFallout 4clip of their experience punching two Stunted Yao Guai to death. The video begins with the gamer taking a Stimpak to recover after absorbing significant damage. The player then punches the one attacking them twice before usingFallout’s VATS targeting systemto aim at the second one. They then alternate between both creatures, striking one then the other until both are defeated, not receiving a finishing move for their efforts. The clip concludes with two defeated Stunted Yao Guai, but a player that has little health and a significant amount of Rads cutting into their available HP pool.
How Did This Player Survive the Encounter?
The average Yao Guai has 550 health and can deal 100 damage by attacking with its claws. These two Stunted Yao Guai were less of a threat than the standard creature as this variant only has 350 health, and it deals half as much damage. Yao Guai can be found on the western side oftheFallout 4Boston Commonwealth, and there are many in the Nuka-World DLC. As two Stunted Yao Guai spawned in this location, the clip was likely recorded in Fairline Hill Estates or Rocky Narrows Park. The gamer used one modded Boxing Glove to defeat these Yao Guai, receiving a slight edge in damage and armor penetration from the equipment.
Given that the player had no Stimpaks and very little health by the end of their encounter, they may have been defeated by the next enemy they ran into. While the Boxing GloveFallout 4modlikely played a role in their encounter survivability, it may have been minimal as the character narrowly avoided death.
