PopularTwitchstreamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel has been forced to relocate several times over the course of his career for various reasons such as swatting experiences, home invasions, drama, and negative sentiments about city life. During a recentTwitchlivestream, xQc gave viewers some details about a Texas streaming house that includes the likes of Sodapoppin, nmplol, and Malena.
During the early days of his esports career, many xQc fans knew him as a Canadian from Quebec, but thepopular Twitch streamerhas maintained his following as he moved to Texas, Los Angeles, and back to Canada. While in Texas, xQc lived with his partner at the time named Adept who was living in a content house full of other Twitch streamers like the One True King house in Austin, and although xQc wasn’t there for long, he left with a sour taste in his mouth. During a June 28 Twitch stream, xQc explained the Austin, Texas situation in a little more detail than he initially gave because of the circumstances.

Responding to his community that brought upGreekGodx’s Twitch banand the community in Austin, xQc clarified that the streaming lifestyle there is toxic, over-competitive, hostile, and dramatic. The popular Twitch streamer also hinted at a plethora of problems in the Austin streaming populace behind the scenes with various egos involved that aren’t usually considered at face value. “Everybody is all backing the Austin group of people,” said xQc in his rant about the Texas streaming house, “I’m just saying, overall it’s not as it seems. It’s very tense.”
Speculating some Twitch streamers that live in Austin would hate him as the result of his criticisms, xQc avoided dropping any names and even alluded to his lack of specifics with a joke. Suggesting that Austin may not be for him, xQc also stated that others find Texas welcoming to streamers, while he claims others may find him anti-social. Other popular livestreamers located in Texas includeTwitch collective OTKfounder Asmongold, Amouranth, Mizkif, Reckful, and SypherPK, though it seems unlikely that xQc will return given his comments.
Although most of the responses to xQc’s statements about the Texas streaming house he once lived in were in agreement or expressions of amusement, others made jokes at the expense of the remaining Texas Twitch streamers. Some xQc viewers noted that although he speaks negatively about drama, others prefer a dramatic environment from which to create content. Many members of the community responding to xQc’s stance on Texas may agree with the oftennumber-one streamer on Twitch, but otherTwitchcontent creators continue to relocate to Austin given its tax breaks.
