Spider-Man: No Way Home’sfirst trailer absolutely marveled fans with the promise of many returning villains and thanks to new exclusive images they can now get a tease of how Peter Parker’s eight-armed blast from the past goes for the web-swinger.
While there will undoubtedly be a second excitingSpider-Mantrailer before the film’s December premiere, and it’s arguable that one could spill more ofNo Way Home’splot, that won’t stop speculation about the film anytime soon. After all, Tom Holland and the rest of theSpider-Mancast have called the end of this trilogy anAvengers: Endgametype of event as the superhero has his first contact with the multiverse.

It seems as though Holland will definitely have his work cut out for him as a preview for Empire’s December issue showed new images of Peter’s bridge showdown against Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus. The picture clearly shows Doc Ock wrapping a couple of his many extremities around Holland’s Spider-Man, which could put to rest prior theories that emerged from the trailer suggesting Molina’s character was actually saying hi toTobey Maguire’s Spider-Man.
The magazine article could have also confirmed the return oftwo more familiar villains inNo Way Home, namely Rhys Ifans’ Lizard and Thomas Haden Church as Sandman, which would almost complete a fearsome Sinister Six lineup. In any case, it’s arguable that this shot could just be taken from a specific moment from the fight, but the way it mirrorsSpider-Man 2is simply wonderful.
As if that wasn’t enough, over on the Sony exclusive universe,Tom Hardy continues to tease Spider-Man and Venomcrossovers that are only more intriguing afterVenom 2hinted at what Marvel’s futuremay look like not too far away, meaning an Eddie Brock cameo is really not out od the question. Add all that on top of Spider-Man himself teasing mysterious character cameos andNo Way Homeis looking just like the massive MCU events it’s been made up to be, and that’s without even talking about Doctor Strange.
All this excitement will bode well for both Marvel Studios and moviegoers since only a week before its premiereEternalsis not doing well in terms of early previews. While the success seen by the likes ofDune,No Time to Die,Shang-Chi, andF9was impressive, maybe the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man can shatter all pandemic box office records the same way he’s shattering the MCU’s reality.
