Many games receive cookbooks. Franchises such asFinal FantasyandDestinyhave cookbooksdedicated to the foods that are found in the games, giving players a taste of the worlds they love to get lost in. Now it has been announced that a cookbook based off of theWitcherseries is on the way.
CD Projekt Red has announced a cookbook based off of theWitchergames, which will be released in October and will be available in either hardcover or as an ebook. The cookbook will cost $35 for the hardcover and $15 for the ebook and will be published by Ten Speed Press.

The Witchercookbook will feature 80 recipes based off of foods found in the games. The book is being written by Anita Sarna and Karolina Krupecka, creators of the food blogsNerds' KitchenandWitcher Kitchen. They will share their meticulously researched and immersiverecipes that will let gamers try out the foods in real lifethat a Witcher may taste as they travel the Continent.
Players will be able to taste foods from many of the locations that they visit in theWitchergames. This includes areas such as Velen, Oxenfurt, Novigrad, and Kaer Morhen, and the recipes will include hearty tavern fare, fortifying drinks, fragrent stews, and juicy baked fruit.
It will be interesting to see what sorts of recipes show up in this cookbook.Witcher Kitchenalready has a number of recipes on the site, which includes items such as Mahakam Potato Soup, Honey spice cake, and Boeuf Bourguignon. Thevideo games feature a variety of iconic foods, including different forms of chicken, fish, and pork, as well as a good number of different drinks, though many of them are just different types of beer and wine. It will be interesting to see what sorts of different foods Sarna and Krupecka bring to the table when the book releases later this year.
The announcement of the cookbook comes soon after the announcement of anew game in theWitcherseries. The game was announced last month by CD Projekt Red through Twitter, though not much information was shared. It was revealed that the newWitchertitle will move from the REDengine and will instead make use of Unreal Engine 5. A teaser image for the game was shown and featured a medallion that does not correlate with any known Witcher school. No other news has been released, leaving much about the game up in the air at this point.
