Fans have come out in force sharing their creations, with one fan creatingThe WitcherandJokerfan artand with others creating mods that put a popular song from the Netflix series intoThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
In a post on reddit a user named azozea revealed a video of an AR filter they’d made of Geralt in Kaer Morhen. Users can open the filter and point their camera atThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntcase to see an AR diorama ofGeralt in the location. When the user moves the camera, the image of Kaer Morhen moves behind him. It’s an amazing sight and one that other fans ofThe Witcherare enjoying, so much that the reddit post has 11.9k points.

The Reddit user has posted a tutorial of the video on YouTube, showing how they created it using Spark AR, Photoshop, and Blender. Other fans ofThe Witcheror other game series could use it to create more filters like it as azozea says that it’s a “beginner” project for those just learning how to use Spark AR. However, the YouTube video isn’t the end of this AR filter. The files are available for download, so anyone can try it out. It’s unclear if azozea plans to release it for all Instagram users butThe Witcherdeveloper CD Projekt RED has released aCyberpunk 2077Instagram filter, meaning it could potentially make one.
On Reddit, there’s a huge number of positive comments from fans, many of whom are saying that this is what they wantGwentcards to look like. Many would also like to see official AR filters released for more box art. There have been some cool game covers, like theFinal Fantasy 7 Remakereversible box art, but fans would also really like AR filters.
It could be a while until every new game release starts getting its own AR filter but the idea does seem to be becoming more popular with games. TheCyberpunk 2077Instagram filter seemed to do well and a huge number of people also seem to be using the whatPokemonare you filter. The release of a Pikachu filter on Snapchat also went well.
