A newWitcher 3mod takes an iconic weapon fromThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimand makes it purchasable for Geralt’s use against enemies, blending well with The Continent.

Mods are a great deal of fun for gamers who have already experienced everything a game has to offer, especially in open-world titles. This is also true ofSkyrimandTheWitcher 3: Wild Hunt, both of which players can spend hundreds of hours exploring, battling, and questing in. Both of these games came out several years ago, but still see players pouring hours upon hours completing every single quest. But for those who are looking to spice up their gameplay experiences, mods can add tons of excitement toThe Witcher 3.

Not only haveThe Witcher 3andSkyrimbeen comparedfor ages for being massive fantasy open-worlds, but gamers have also been blending the two universes with mods ever sinceThe Witcher’s release. One mod that enhances its gameplay experience in milckywayy’s addition of the Daedric Greatsword fromThe Elder Scrolls’universe of Nirn.

This insane demonic sword is mostly used byDremora, a race of Daedra, and is therefore one of the most powerful and rarest weapons in the game. The item can’t be found until the player reaches level 27 inSkyrim, and a particularly higher Smithing skill level of 90, along with the Daedric Smithing perk, is needed to forge them from scratch. The Daedric Greatsword can deal some crazy damage, looks insanely cool, and its dark aesthetic blends well with the fantasy universe of The Continent inWitcher 3.

But nowWitcher 3players can get in on the action with this new mod, which adds the Greatsword to the game by downloading user milckywayy’s mod via Nexus Mods, making it purchasable in three different shops: Hattori’s home in Novigrad, the Ofieri merchant Dulla kh’Amanni at Upper Mill, and the grandmaster smith Lazare Lafargue in Toussaint. The sword’s damage scales to the player’s level when buying and is compatible withWitcher 3’s New Game+.

Modder milckywayy has also remade the ever-classicDiamond Sword fromMinecraftinThe Witcher 3,also available for purchase at Hattori’s home, which looks pretty hilarious swinging around againstThe Witcher 3’s realistic graphics.  It also does quite a bit more damage than the Daedric Greatsword, but nevertheless, both mods are exceptional additions to the beloved game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Huntis available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
