The Last of Us 2may have had some of its momentum ruined by massive spoilers that leaked online (none of which will be discussed in detail here, so don’t worry), but there is still considerable hype for the game. Naughty Dog will keep the hype train rolling with a new trailer forThe Last of Us 2that will be released to the masses on May 6 at 7:00am PT, according to a recent tweet by the studio.
In the short teaser video, fans can hear what appears to be a conversation betweenEllie and Joel. Ellie says, “I have to finish it,” and Joel replies, “There’s a cost.” Of course, it’s also possible that these voices belong to other characters entirely, though that remains to be seen. In any case,The Last of Us 2fans should get more context for this conversation when the game’s new trailer drops tomorrow morning.

WhileThe Last of Us 2spoilershave certainly had a negative impact on the game, at least the wait for the game is nearly over. Fans have been waiting seven years to see what happens next inThe Last of Usstoryline, and while some of the big plot points may have already been revealed, the game should still have plenty of surprises in store.
The Last of Us 2release date is June 19, so fans will finally be able to get their hands on the game in little over a month. WhenThe Last of Us 2does launch, it will be interesting to see if it lives up to the incredibly high bar set by the first game. The originalLast of Usis one of the most critically-acclaimed games ever made, and soThe Last of Us 2has a lot to live up to. However, if any studio can pull it off, it’s Naughty Dog, which has consistently put out critically-acclaimed games for decades now.
Looking ahead, there should be plenty more forThe Last of Usfans to look forward to, even afterThe Last of Us 2launches. Naughty Dog is working with HBO to create aLast of UsTV series adaptation, plus ifThe Last of Us 2is as big of a success as it’s expected to be, there will almost certainly be a third game in the series as well. Here’s hopingThe Last of Us 2lives up to expectations when it launches next month.
The Last of Us 2launches on June 19, exclusively for PS4.
