WARNING! Spoilers ahead for Stellar Blade!

“Their journey continues.” That is the final message ofStellar Bladeonce players finish the more than twenty-hour experience. It’s a very Marvel-like way to conclude a game with text on a black screen, but it’s also cool knowing that the developer, Shift Up, is already thinking ahead toward the next adventure.

Will that be a PS5 game again or will it be for Sony’s next console? Will it even happen if the sales numbers are low? It’s hard to tell butStellar Bladecertainly ends with a lot of cliffhangers. Let’s go through the main characters to see where they could fit into the sequel.

Eve’s final form in Stellar Blade

8Eve

From Unsure Soldier To God

Eve is the protagonist and the sole playable character in the game. She begins unsure of herself on the battlefield, but after her mentor Tachy dies, she is determined to get better for her sake. She learns a lot throughout the adventure like how to be a better human or human hybrid as it were. Players have to make a dramatic choice in the final confrontation with Adam.

The true ending points to Eve merging with Adam and becoming a new union. This angers Mother Sphere who sends soldiers after Eve in a credits sequence similar toCrisis Core: Final Fantasy 7but unlikeZack’s fate in that game, Eve lives.

Adam in Stellar Blade

7Adam

The Mastermind Erased From Existence

Adam enters the picture after rescuing Eve in the tutorial mission. He says he’s one of the last humans on Earth to Eve before bringing her to the walled city of Xion. It turns out Adam was holding a secret from everyone as he was the Elder Naytiba that Eve was sent to destroy all along.

He’s not evil, unlike a lot of other Alpha Naytiba inStellar Blade. Adam wants to save humanity and if players choose to fuse Eve with Adam, Adam will no longer exist as an entity but his memory will live on inside Eve.

Lily in Stellar Blade

6Lily

A Tinkerer Of Hearts And Machines

Lily gets rescued by Eve after she defeats a Gigas-type Naytiba. She’s also from the Colony but when her pod was shot to Earth, she was stuck inside it. Lily is presented as a nerdy mechanic who gives Eve a lot of gifts inStellar Bladefrom the ability to double jumpto upgrading her drone with a gun.

To getStellar Blade’strue ending, players have to woo Lily by helping others throughStellar Blade’smany side quests. This will bond Eve and Lily thus leading to Lily opening up about her past in Eidos 9 as well as her relationship with Iberis. In the fusion ending ofStellar Blade, Eve will rescue Lily from her mech, and then Lily will be able to restore power to Xion.

Tachy in Stellar Blade

5Tachy

Passing The Tragic Torch

Tachy has a small role on screen but she has a big arc behind the scenes. She’s the one who saves Eve from her dropship in the tutorial as well as sacrifices her body to let Eve escape harm. Adam then saves Eve, leaving Tachy for dead.

However, this was not the end for Tachy as the Alpha Naytiba took Tachy away, experimented on her, and transformed Tachy into an Alpha Naytiba too with a black wing akin toSephiroth fromFinal Fantasy 7. Leaving her no choice, Eve kills Tachy and sets her free, vowing vengeance once more for her fallen comrade and leaving Tachy to a grave fate.

Raven in Stellar Blade

4Raven

Beginning Naytiba

Raven was first shown through hologram projections as one of the first Airborne Squad from the Colony to invade Earth. Through more hologram discs, Eve and the others learn the truth about the Final War. What Raven leaves out of her messages is the fact that she is an Alpha Naytiba, the very one that turned Tachy into a monster.

Eve faces her in Xion after she destroys half the city. She then faces Raven again outside of The Nest and after the battle, Eve leaves Raven to die with her spine severed and her two arms removed. It is unknown if she lived or died.

Orcal in Stellar Blade

3Orcal

The Elder And His Secret Sacrifice

Orcal was another character who was secretly an Alpha Naytiba all along. After Raven’s invasion of Xion, Orcal tells Eve that he used to be evil. After humans saved him after the war, Orcal changed his ways and eventually became the sage of Xion.

In his final act, Orcal removes his core to help Eve reach The Nest thus killing him in the process. On a related note, Mann, Orval’sfaithful samurai-looking guardian, also seems like he died but Mann’s fate is a bit iffy.

Kaya in Stellar Blade

2Kaya

Searching For Her Sister

Kaya is one of the minor characters ofStellar Bladeinitially but through her side questslike The Scavenger’s Story, she becomes more integrated into the story. Kaya took over her sister, Kara’s, junk shop after she went missing.

Through several missions, Eve will discover that Kara died while fighting a Naytiba. Kaya is devastated but thanks Eve all the same, vowing to live on in Kara’s honor. By the end of the game, Kaya is seen celebrating along with other Xion citizens once Lily powers up the city.

Enya in Stellar Blade

1Su And Enya

A Love Story In Bloom

Su is a patron at a local bar who cares deeply for the singer there, Enya. The trouble is Enya was badly damaged and can no longer walk or talk but she can sing through a hooked-up instrument. In one ofStellar Blade’smore compelling series of side quests, Eve can repair Enya and bring Su and her closer together.

Because of Eve, the two were able to survive the attack on Xion. Wrapped up in all of this is a little robot named Digger, stylized as D1G-g2r, who also survives the Raven invasion.
