From new characters like The Octoboss to returning ones like the titular Furiosa, there are many heroes and villains to swoon over inFuriosa: A Mad Max Saga. For as many characters as there are in the movie, there isn’t that much talking. A lot of the story is told through action which is a common trait amongMad Maxfilms in the franchise.
The creator and director, George Miller, has crafted a world for viewers to get enveloped in and to seecool Hollywood-level stunts. He is seemingly not as interested in words inFuriosa: A Mad Max Sagaand yet there are still some memorable quotes that stick out. There will be spoilers in this rundown of the highlights.

8“The Stars Be With You.”
Vuvalini General
The Vuvalini is another word to describe The Many Mothers as seen inMad Max: Fury Roadand this prequel. “The stars be with you” is a prayer that the people of The Green Place say which has a similar meaning to “May the Force be with you” intheStar Warsmovies.
It’s an offering of goodwill which is said many times throughoutFuriosa: A Mad Max Saga. This first iteration is uttered by a Vuvalini General, who has no name, to Mary Jabassa, Furiosa’s mom, just before she departs to save Furiosa.

7“Good Girl.”
Mary Jabassa
Furiosa gets kidnapped at the beginning of the movie but that doesn’t mean she is helpless. She only appears to be helpless to sabotage her captors easier many times over, like when she breaks the gas line of a bike.
The main Biker Horde villain that kidnaps her meets a bad end as Furiosa rips his throat out via another bike prank. Mary Jabassa sees this all go down through the scope of her rifle which is when she whispers this line to herself, complimenting her daughter. Mary Jabassa taught Furiosa well, and she’s shown to be quite capable herself as a motherand a sniper.

6“Do Not Look Away, You Mustn’t Look Away.”
Dementus
It’s typical ina post-apocalyptic movielikeFuriosa: A Mad Max Sagato have a young child go through trauma. Nothing is more traumatic than watching one’s mother get tortured and murdered, which is what happens to Mary Jabassa in front of Furiosa. As it’s happening, the leader of the Biker Horde, Dementus, makes sure she doesn’t look away.
He’s not doing it explicitly to be cruel. Dementus just thinks that people who go through trauma will be stronger. It was a bad move on Dementus’ part overall, as Furiosa metaphorically got him back ten times overwith sweet revenge.

5“Witness Me!”
War Boy
“Witness me!” was one of the biggest quotes fromMad Max: Fury Roadas multiple War Boys scream it in the movie. Usually, it’s paired with a War Boy spraying himself with toxins which is also just funny to see. It’s not said as much inFuriosa: A Mad Max Saga, but the best version happens when Dementus and his Biker Horde ride up to the Citadel for the first time.
Dementus has to pick a War Boy to sacrifice, he does, and this nameless child is not angry at all. He grabs his Thunder Sticks, sprays himself, looks at Immortan Joe for confirmation, and then jumps off a high platform only to die in a glorious explosion as he screams “Witness Me!” to all in attendance.

4“Keep It, You’ll Need It.”
Praetorian Jack
After Rictus tries to molest Furiosa as a young girl, she decides to make an escape attempt. After this incident, she disguises herself as a young male mechanic which eventually gets her a job aboard Praetorian Jack’s War Rig.
After one of the most action-packed scenes in the movie, Furiosa’s disguise falters and she assumes Praetorian Jack is going to turn her in. After he convinces her to join his War Rig as his pupil, Praetorian Jack gifts the gun Furiosa stole with this line of encouragement. He knows anyone caught in the wasteland without a weapon would be dead which is true for most post-apocalyptic situations, includingtheFalloutserieswhichMad Maxshares a lot with.

3“There Is No Hope!”
Dementus is thrown for a loop multiple times over inFuriosa: A Mad Max Saga. The movie shows him go into madness the more time goes on as hope oozes out of his body. After his family dies, which is never truly explained in the movie, Dementus wants to show everyone else that the world is ruinous and not worth living happily.
Every time he catches Furiosa in the movie, he is gobsmacked because he can see hope is still in her eyes—hope that he thought he destroyed ages ago, which throws him into a fit. This is right after he catches Furiosa and Praetorian Jack outside of The Bullet Farm.

2“That Is The Dark Angel, The 5th Horseman Of The Apocalypse.”
The History Man
The History Man says this line right after Furiosa drives after Dementus in the final action scene of the movie. She steals a car from Scrotus and fans of the 2015Mad Maxgame will recognize him as the main antagonist.
Games aside, this line is great because it shows a glimmer of hope within The History Man’s eyes. Ever since he laid eyes on Furiosa, it was easy to tell his heart ached for her. He dared not tell Furiosa a way to kill Dementus, but it was definitely a story at the back of his throat. In this moment, The History Man realizes that Furiosa is about to make her wish and his wish come true at long last.

1“Give Them Back!"
Furiosa
Furiosa, as the titular star of the movie, does not say much. That’s because, for half of the movie, she has to pretend to be mute so as to not arouse suspicion in the Citadel. One of her best lines, of the few she is granted, happens after capturing Dementus.
She is shown to be out of her mind too because Furiosa does not want to just kill Dementus. In some way, she thinks he can give her mother back as if he has that kind life life-giving power. Unfortunately, Chris Hemsworth is not playing a god in this movie (not thatThor can resurrect someone in the MCUeither).
