Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas expanded the Arkhamverse considerably by not only introducing the titular team, but also by tossing in the powerful Justice League. For the first time in the series, players are able to interact with more than just Batman’s roster of characters. While almost all of them are brainwashed for the entire game, it is still great to finally see these powerful heroes. Yet, one prominent character seems to have been left out of theSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguefun.
The Justice League is made up of almost all the members that DC fans have come to expect over the years.Superman leads the team, Batman lends his expertise, Green Lantern is a constant thorn in the player’s side, the Flash speeds across Metropolis, and Wonder Woman helps the Squad throughout the game. That all makes for a powerful roster, however, Aquaman seems to have been left out. Even though there are references to him, he did not make the cut, and his absence is sorely felt.

Aquaman Seems to Have Some Presence in Suicide Squad
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguepits players against many of the founding members of the Justice League, which makes for an exciting adventure. However,Aquaman is also a founding memberof the team, and he is nowhere to be found. None of the characters mention him, he has no presence in the Hall of Justice, and the oceans seem untouched by Brainiac. It almost feels like he does not exist in this universe at all, but his adversaries seem to.
One of the leading members of the Suicide Squad comes in the form ofKill The Justice League’s King Shark. In live-action, he has served as an enemy to the Flash and as a lead character inThe Suicide Squad. In comics, he has also appeared alongside Aquaman. Since they are both ocean-based characters, it makes sense that they would either team up or fight each other. However,Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s version of the character seems to have no idea who Aquaman is.

Throughout Metropolis, players can also find murals that depictAquaman’s rival Black Manta. Black Manta is one of Aquaman’s primary antagonists, with him appearing as one of the main villains in both DCEUAquamanfilms. Based on that mural, the character likely exists within the Arkhamverse, so Aquaman probably does as well. Yet, he is still nowhere to be found, and that absence can be felt throughout the adventure.
Aquaman Should Be Able to Join in on the Brainiac Fun
Aquaman is a founding member of the Justice League, so he should be a part of their Arkhamverse debut. If he does live in this world, he would probably not stand idly by as his friends are brainwashed by Brainiac. If anything, he would lend his aid toDC’s Wonder Womanor even the Squad so that they could stop the League from destroying the world. And if he was brainwashed by Brainiac, then a boss battle against him could easily become a fan favorite.
SinceSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueis a live-service game, there is a chance that Aquaman will be added in a later update. Maybe he comes out of the shadows after the League is killed seeking revenge, maybe Brainiac has just had him fighting to control the oceans all this time, or maybe he has just been off dealing with a completely different crisis. Whatever the case may be, hopefully, he can join in on the fun soon. It would be a shame if the Justice League roster was not complete, especially because he is one of the most charismatic members they have.
