With new behind-the-scenes footage being released frequently, fans of the show can still get some glimpses at how this newest season was made. One of the newest BTSStranger Thingsclips that Netflix has shared with fans isJamie Campbell Bower getting in touch with his Vecnavoice. The actor, who also played the alter-egos of 001 and Henry Creel, not only played the character in the full Vecna suit but also voiced the villain as well.RELATED:Stranger Things: The Best 5 Characters In Season 4 Vol. 2"Still wowed by the fact thatJamie Campbell Bower not only acted his ass offunderneath all of those prosthetics, but he also did Vecna’s chilling voice too!" Netflix tweeted with a 20-second clip of Bower. In the clip, Bower is seen watching a scene from the show while reciting part of his monologue from the final episode. When doing voice-over lines, many actors watch the scenes they are participating in, to gain a greater sense of the speed and tone their lines should be delivered in. One noticeable part of the clip is that Bower has no script. While he may have referred to it during his time in the studio, it is impressive to think that he memorized his whole monologue in order to give a great performance for the “creation of the Upside Down” scene.

Since season four’s release, Bower has expressed how muchhe enjoyed being Vecna, despite the hours it took the makeup department to get him inside the Vecna suit. “I loved talking in the voice,” Bower told Screen Rant. “That was always my favorite thing, talking in the voice. So, at the end of a long day, the things that were coming out of my mouth in the Vecna voice were always very interesting and very funny.” Bower has also stated how much he feels he understands Vecna, and that he himself doesn’t see him as a villain, due to the fact that Vecna is holding onto so many negative emotions.

“I’m certainly able to view him as a point of conflict. But in terms of, like, is he evil or villainous? I mean, I understand him, and I love him. And I relate to him,” Bower told Variety. “I just got a pain in my eyes as I was saying that — maybe I should shut up! Like, I understand him, and so I’m always gonna be on his side.”

Vecna may have been defeated, but he certainly wasn’t destroyed.Stranger Thingsseason 5is likely a long way away, and fans can’t wait to see what the villain has up his sleeve.
