Bethesda games are renowned for packing in an awful lot of content, andStarfieldis no exception. Granted, the main story is perhaps a little shorter than some might have expected, but there’s more than enough going on elsewhere to keep players busy for hundreds of hours; if not thousands.

Starfieldalso features a New Game Plus mode, which can again help to prolong the experience. However, there are certain things that players may want to wrap up before beginning a New Game Plus playthrough, as the majority of their progress will not be carried over with them.
What to Do Before Finishing The Main Story (Starfield Post-Game Content)
Given that New Game Plus mode begins immediately after players have completed the game’s main story,Starfield’s post-game consists more of wrapping up loose ends than anything else. There’sa very obvious point of no returnat which players are given the option to walk away and come back later when they’re ready to move on, so those with unfinished business should do exactly that.
Pretty much all of the game’s side content can be completed in New Game Plus mode, though as players will lose all of their weapons and resources uponstarting a New Game+ run ofStarfield, some may prefer to tackle it during their initial playthrough. Others may argue that it’s better to save all of the game’s side quests for New Game Plus mode, which makes sense given that the only things that carry over are the playable character’s level and skills.

Ultimately, what it really comes down to is whether players want to complete everything during a single playthrough or are happy spreading it out over several. The latter arguably makes for a more enjoyable experience, particularly with New Game Plus mode opening up new dialog options and pathways. However, those fixated on completion are free to just hold off on triggering New Game Plus mode until they’re absolutely ready to move on, or just avoid doing so entirely.
As for whether or notStarfieldhas any true post-game content, that really depends on whether or not one classes New Game Plus mode as such. Most will likely conclude that it is, particularly as it offers players a brand-new way to experienceStarfield’s main story. Those who don’t can at least take comfort in the fact that the game features countless hours' worth of side content to keep players busy before they arrive at the end of the story (or beginning, depending on how one looks at it).
Starfieldis available now for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
