Against energy weapons and energy damage of all kinds, there are a few select suits that provide the best protection (noted as ENGY Damage Resistance). ENGY Damage includes lasers and all types of particle beams, which some select enemies make use of (such as the Va’Ruun zealots). Here’s which spacesuits will serve players best when it comes to ENGY Damage Resistance inStarfield.
Honorable Mentions
The following spacesuits are still being tracked down for this list:
7UC Combat Spacesuit
Under a 100 ENGY Damage Resistance is where the UC Combat Spacesuit is found. Though it’s on the lower end of the spectrum, it’s still relatively high when compared to a lot of the more basic armor in the game.
The spacesuit can be purchased randomly from various vendors in the game inStarfield’smajor cities, so keep an eye out for it, especially while traveling in the UC space (that includes Cydonia and Gagarinon top of New Atlantis).

6Mercury Spacesuit
On the more unique side is the Mercury Spacesuit. Players will likely first come across it during their visit to NASA inStarfield’smain story quest. The quest is towardsthe end of the Constellation questline, so it might take a while to get there.

A full set can be found in the NASA exhibition hall, and the spacesuit itself is within a glass case towards the back of the room on the lower exhibition floor. It provides 92 ENGY Resistance and has a distinct, shiny foil-like appearance.
5Experimental Nishina Spacesuit
Past the 100 Resistance mark is the Experimental Nishina Spacesuit. It’s a classic, padded, and more simple-looking spacesuit that gives a pretty commendable amount of ENGY Resistance at a value of 121.
The Experimental Nishina Spacesuit shares a model with the Star Roamer Spacesuit but comes with some better stats and effects. As the name suggests, it’s acquired during the Constellation main quest from the Nishina research station, after completing the Entangled quest.

4Trackers Alliance Spacesuit
The Trackers Alliance is a faction that can’t be joined but is still very much present in theStarfielduniverse. They come with their unique spacesuit as well, which fortunately players have access to. Generally speaking, the suit is quite powerful and has a high ENGY Damage Resistance of 122.
The suit can be bought from a few vendors here and there, so looking around is the best and quickest option at first. There’s also a chance it might spawn as loot in random structures or POIs.

3Bounty Hunter Spacesuit
Another great all-rounder spacesuit is the Bounty Hunter Spacesuit, with an ENGY Damage Resistance of 132. Not only does it look good, but it also has fantastic stats all around and is perfect for players who wish to roleplay as bounty hunters inStarfield.
This spacesuit can also be purchased from several vendors, includingthe vendors at The Keyduring the Crimson Fleet quest. It can frequently appear in random structures and POIs as well.

2Mark I Spacesuit
The Mark I Spacesuit can be found in the wild, as well as in the inventory of vendors, but the easiest way for players to get their hands on it is to head to the basement of the Constellation’s main headquarters at the Lodge.

Mark I grants a solid 136 ENGY Damage Resistance to players and isby far one of the best early-game spacesuitsthat can be nabbed by peeking through the glass panels of the display. If that doesn’t work, come back to it after leveling up Security to crack the Master-level lock.
1Mercenary Spacesuit
Another visually impressive spacesuit is the Mercenary Spacesuit, and it certainly helps that it comes with nice stats to boot. This spacesuit can be purchased from various random vendors here and there in the galaxy, so make sure to visit a couple of cities while looking for it.
It can also spawn randomly while adventuring, so a bit of good luck might be needed to get it. The Mercenary Spacesuit boasts a 144 ENGY Damage Resistance, making it the best in the game when it comes to this damage type—savefor the many Starborn spacesuit variants.

Starfieldis available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
