The Eye of the Storm is a rather difficult mission, not only due to the decision players have to make towards the end of the mission, but also because the stranded and dead vessel holds many dangers that could take the player’s life. Towards the end of the mission, players will want to know how to escape the Legacy inStarfield, to avoid a shared fate as those who died on board.

Talk To Delgado

To begin, players need to head back to the Key, where they will head off to Jazz’s Ship Services office, where both she and Delgado will be arguing. Talking to Delgado, he will confirm with the player that it’s finally time to venture out to Bannoc 4 with the equipment they managed to steal and plunder.

After quipping, or listening to Delgado, players will then want to talk to Jazz about fixing up their ship with these new parts, which can be troubling to navigate if players are unfamiliar withhow the ship building inStarfieldworks.

Install The ComSpike And Conduction Grid Modules

Speaking to Jazz, players should ask “Mind helping me with my ship?” and then “I’d like to view and modify my ships.” Then, players want to select the ship of their choice that they want to use for the remainder of this mission, and the one after it. From the Modify Ships screen players want to follow these instructions:

Now that those modules have been installed, the next objective is to head to the UC Vigilance and inform Kibwe Ikande of the Crimson Fleet’s next move.

Speak To Kibwe Ikande

The UC Vigilance has moved from its usual position in the galaxy, and it’s now in the neighboring system of the Crimson Fleet, close and ready to prepare their assault on the Key. Venturing inside, players can head to the Operations Center and speak to Commander Kibwe, informing him of their progress, and their next steps to head to Bannoc 4.

Bannoc 4 is located in the Bannoc system, and players might have to travel through a few solar systems in order to reach this far destination that is in an unexplored route forward. Once players arrive, their newly installed modules will keep them safe from the electromagnetic storm, and the gas giant’s clouds. However, it’s hard to navigate due to the obscured vision and the asteroids in the way.

Nevertheless, players need to follow the Unknown Signal until they find the Legacy, a ship that they are going to want todock and boardto begin exploring the biggest heist inStarfield, and the hundreds of thousands of Credits that await onboard.

Once players board the Legacy, they will notice that this stranded ship has been abandoned for quite some time, leaving nothing but ghosts and corpses. The ship is in total disarray, covered in rubbish and destroyed robots. Players want to proceed up the stairs, and find an audio log titled GBLR001: Adrift, which details a recording from GalBank employees after their engines were destroyed by the storm.

Further up the stairs and in the mess hall, players will find the audio log GBLR010: Kryx’s Arrival, which details Jasper Kryx’s arrival on board the prized vessel, and his fears of being stranded here. In the crew quarters, players will find Aquilar, long dead, along with a GBLR009: Aguilar’s Farewell, which presents a tragic and fatal goodbye from one of the crewmen as she explains how each of the crew tragically passed before she eventually does. In the same room, players can find Mayfield, deceased on their bed, along with the recording GBLR008: Poker Game.

Along in the captain’s quarters, they can find Captain Liang’s computer for more lore details on their mission and crew. Also in this room is the GBLR007: Running on Empty recording, which shows Liang and Kellner accepting that they will die here.

Locate The Vault Control Center

Proceeding through the desolate and empty halls, players will find the first Control Center, but will need a Transfer Module to access it. Luckily, there’sa Transfer Module in the room just outside, which can be found next to Osterholt’s body.

Now that players have proceeded inside, they will find a CredTank, which can simply be activated with the action button to net the playeran easy few thousand Credits. Yet, after this room, is when players are going to want to hold onto their gun, fingers on the trigger.

Find The Vault Room

After spotting the large orange sealed door, players will have no choice but to step through, and trigger an alarm that activates the mechanical defenses set in place to deter thieves. These security measures include cameras, turrets, and robots. Players should shoot their way through to the Reactor room, proceeding through Hydraulics to reach the Shield Generator room, and then the Physical Plant. Down the stairs and to the right, is the vault room, but it’s sealed shut, so players need to head through the Engine Room.

There’s an armada of machinery in the Engine Room, and players want to fight through them all to find the alternate Vault Control Room, which allows them to open the door with the computer terminal next to it, and proceed inside. It’s overwhelming to see the amount of CredTanks inside, but these are inaccessible, so players should head forward to the end of the large room to find a Crimson Fleet idol…

Retrieve Jasper Kryx’s Possessions

The Vault Control Room holds the final resting place of the founder of the Crimson Fleet. Next to his body, players can find stacks of Credstiks, the GBLR013: Mortem Obire Evidence, and theessential GalBank Transfer Module. On the desk, players can pick up theunique legendary rifle, the Revenant.

Underneath this gun is the GBLR011: The Waiting Game audio log that players need to pick up and listen to proceed with the quest.

Reroute Ship’s Power And Use The Data Core Port

After listening to the audio log, players are tasked with rerouting the ship’s power. This can be activated by hitting both Power Override Control switches that are found opposite each other in the same room. This will turn the power on, and open up the dual Transfer Module lock switches found at the center of the room. Placing both Transfer Modules into their slots, players will want to place the Data Core into the Data Core Port, and begin downloading the Credit Reserves on the Legacy. Players should save here, as the next step involves a daring and stressful escape from the moment players take the Data Core Port.

Escape The Legacy

As players take the Data Core, the ship will erupt in flames. Explosions breach the Legacy, and players have no choice but to escape. There’s no turning back now, and players will have to make their way off of the ship before they suffocate and die here, sobring plenty of healing items. If players want to know the easiest way of how to escape the Legacy inStarfield, then their Scanner is a great asset, as it can show the accessible path. Nevertheless, it’s a great idea to run or shoot any robot in the way, and venture through the stressful escape.

This video below will help players find the path to escape the Legacy in the Eye of the Storm mission:

The easiest way back is to simply retrace the steps the player took to come in. However, the explosions have left a few difficulties in the way, including new robot threats, and inaccessible areas. Players just need to run like the wind and navigate through, with the video above being their best chance at escaping to their ship, where they can jump in the cockpit, undock, and fly away from the exploding vessel, avoiding the same fateas the crew onboard and the pirate king, Jasper Kryx.

UC SysDef or the Crimson Fleet in The Eye of the Storm Choice

Now that players are safely aboard their ship, they have a decision to make on who to give Kryx’s Legacy to inStarfield. The decision is between the warringfactions: UC SysDef, or Crimson Fleet.Either option will lock players into another mission, and also provide them with unique rewards and consequences that cannot be turned back. It can be difficult to decide on whether to side with the Crimson Fleet or the UC SysDef inStarfield, so here are both options:

Give Kryx’s Legacy To UC SysDef

Deciding to travel with Kryx’s Legacy to the UC Vigilance, companions and Commander Ikande will be happy with this decision. This will lock player’s into the Legacy’s End quest, which sees them take out the Crimson Fleet. Here’s everything that happens if players side with UC SysDef:

Players will lose access to the Key, which includes: Crimson Fleet vendors, quests and mission board.

Give Kryx’s Legacy To The Crimson Fleet

If players return to the Key with Kryx’s Legacy, they will have officially joined the Crimson Fleet, and there’s no going back. Bringing Kryx’s Legacy to the Crimson Fleet will lock players into a different version of the Legacy’s End quest where they will destroy the UC Vigilante, and free any prisoners on board. Here are what players earn from choosing the Crimson Fleet:
