One element that keeps bringing players back to farming simulatorStardew Valleyis the ability to start the game over and over again with a completely different farm. While the game started with only a basic farm layout for players to choose,Stardew Valleycreator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has been consistently updating the game with new challenges and options, including new farm styles. This has encouraged manyStardew Valleyplayers to create multiple save files exploring the different types of farm available.
Currently, there are seven farm types available for players to choose from inStardew Valley. In addition to the Standard Farm, which prioritizes Farming, there are four farm maps focused on each of the game’s four other skills: Combat, Fishing, Foraging, and Mining. The Four Corners Farm was added with the game’s multiplayer update; it features an expanded map that provides plenty of space for multiple players to have houses and fields of their own. Lastly, theBeach Farm, which was added with Update 1.5, presents a unique challenge in that it does not allow players to use sprinklers, forcing farmers to water all crops by hand.

Recently, a player going by u/Vinyl_DjPon3 shared an achievement relating to the seven farm types withStardew Valley’sReddit community. The user, who has played over 1500 hours ofStardew Valleyin total, achieved True Perfection on all seven farms. They shared images of all seven completed farms, as well as a time-lapse progression video showing their Beach Farm’s growth over the in-game years. Several Reddit users praised u/Vinyl_DjPon3’s hard work and dedication. In particular, they were congratulated on remaining faithful to the same in-game spouse,Emily, who they married on all seven files.
True Perfection, which serves as somewhat of a “100% completion” mode for the open-ended farming simulator, was first introduced in update 1.5 ofStardew Valley. The player’s progress is tracked by Mr. Qi, who watches them from a secret room on the newly added Ginger Island. Achieving Perfection requires the player to ship every item, cook every recipe, catch every fish, reach maximum friendship levels with every villager, and purchase a number of expensive late-game items. After reaching True Perfection, players can unlock the Summit area of the map, raise Golden Chickens from Golden Eggs, and receive a Statue of True Perfection from Mr. Qi. The Statue produces one Prismatic Shard, one of the game’s rarest items, every day.
Arguably the most difficult obstacle standing in the way of True Perfection is the requirement to purchase four Obelisks and a Golden Clockfrom the mysterious Wizard. The Obelisks, which transport the player to various locations around the map, cost between five hundred thousand and one million gold to craft. The Golden Clock, which prevents weeds from growing and fences from decaying, costs a whoppingten million gold to craft.
Stardew Valleyis currently available for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One.
