Unfortunately, it didn’t work, and the farmer instead became trapped in the train’s exit tunnel, taking damage until they passed out and had to be revived atHarvey’s Stardew Valley clinicfor a fee of 1,000g.
The Train In Stardew Valley Can Be Dangerous
Other players who have tempted fate shared their cautionary tales against racing the train in the comment section. Some have managed to get hit by the trainwhile riding a horse, and one reported that the horse also showed up, seemingly unharmed, inside Harvey’s clinic in the aftermath. Other players have shared a useful tip about pausing the game when a train is pinning a farmer down, noting that the player will still have to wait for the train to make its exit, but the character will stop taking damage after the game is unpaused. There’s no clear answer as to whether this happens during multiplayer sessions, when hitting the pause button opens the inventory but doesn’t halt time, so those who playStardew Valleywith friends may still want to exercise caution.
While there are dangers involved with racing against trains, completionists may want to seek them out whenever they appear.
