The Sims 4is getting two new kits, and the community will be the ones to decide on their theme. A couple of years ago, kits were added toThe Sims 4, and right from the start, they were a controversial addition to the game. Many fans believed that there was no reason to spend more money onThe Sims 4and that, instead of purchasing kits,Sims 4players could download great free custom content. But kits being priced at only $5, compared to a $40 expansion pack, can make it tempting for players, especially since they are often focused on niche themes that can appeal to certain fans.
Kits usually contain new Create-A-Sim options or Build Mode items, so they will either include clothing and more accessories or new furniture and building styles. In the span of two years, numerousSims 4kits have already been released, and everyone who plays the game will find at least one kit appealing. Soon, more kits will be made available, and they might satisfy a higher number of fans this time around.

The Sims 4community will be the ones deciding on two upcoming kits. A survey is now live, and until May 21, 7 PM PT, fans will be able to cast their vote on a CAS kit and a Build Mode kit. There are two options available for each type of kit. For the Create-A-Sim kit, players can choose between Rainbow Core Style and Goth Fashion, and for theSims 4Build Mode kit, players will have to decide if they prefer the Medieval Castle aesthetic or the High Tech Futurism theme.
According to the descriptions on the survey page, the Rainbow Core Style kit will feature vibrant, colorful, and youthful clothing that will give off a nostalgic vibe. On the other hand, the Goth Fashion kit seems like it won’t have as many color swatches, but it will bring other options to the table, such as new tattoos and accessories, another makeup style, and perhaps even different hairstyles. As for the building kits, the High Tech Futurism build style looks perfect for analien family fromSims 4’s Sixam, whereas the Medieval Castle architecture style will certainly catch the eye ofThe Sims Medievalfans.
For each category, the two choices are complete opposites. This might make it easier for fans to decide which one resonates with them the most and what they would like to see in the game. Once voting comes to an end on May 21, more information will surely be revealed, and soon players will be able to enjoy their newSims 4kits.
The Sims 4is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
