Aside from the additional characters,Resident Evil Village: Winters' Expansionadds twonew stages into Mercenaries Mode. While they aren’t as difficult as the final area of The Mad Village, the two stages present a new series of challenges for players to overcome. It consists of three areas and has one mini boss at the end that players need to deal with. Here’s how to complete The Bloody Village and get the highest possible rank, which is SSS Rank.

How to Get SSS Rank in The Bloody Village
The two new stages in Mercenaries Mode ofResident Evil Villagefollow the same exact formula as the stages that shippedwith the game back in May 2021. Players need to go through the areas that make up the stage as fast as possible. More importantly, players need to make sure to kill every enemy they come across to build up their combo. The higher the combo, the more points players will get. The higher the score, the better their rank will be.
So the most important thing that players must do isnot let their combo break.Due to the high score threshold for getting SSS rank, playersmust not allow their combo to breakeven once; otherwise, the best they can hope for is SS Rank. A combo will break if players go too long without killing an enemy.
How Many Enemies Are in The Bloody Village?
As mentioned above, The Bloody Village stage consists of three separate areas. In order to proceed to the next area, players will need to kill a certain amount of enemies so that the goal point will spawn. The amount needed varies from area to area:
As players can see, players are not required to kill every single enemy in order to proceed to the next one.While it is recommendedto kill every enemyin an area, players should not do so at the expense of their combo.If the combo breaks before they enter the goal point, players will get significantly fewer points, which is more than enough to put a swift end to an attempt at SSS Rank.
What Character To Play As
While it is possible to get SSS Rank with all four characters, some will have an easier time accomplishing this than others. With that in mind, it is recommended that playersuseeither Chris or Dimitrescuto get SSS Rank on The Bloody Village. Both can deal a massive amount of damage and are easy to play.
If players are struggling, simply getting SS or S Rank on Stages will unlock abilities for characters that will automatically be applied in future runs. These powerful abilities can make it much easier to get SSS Rank on stages like The Bloody Village as well. Havingat least one weaponor ability fully upgraded near the start will also make killing enemies go faster.
Memorize Locations
One important thing players can do to have a better chance at getting SSS Rank on The Bloody Village is tomemorize where enemies spawn.If players can learn where enemy spawn points are, it will be easier to eliminate them and swiftly move on to the next area before their combo has a chance to break. It can take a few tries, but gradually,Resident Evil Villageplayers will be able to move faster through the three areas and clear each one without their combo breaking even once.
