Resident Evil 8is perhaps one of the most highly anticipated games releasing next year. Following the massive successResident Evil 7garnered back in 2017, the release ofResident Evil 8weighs heavily on the minds of many fans of the series. While a release date for the game has yet to be confirmed, an age rating from Brazil helps to give fans of the series some semblance of further expectation.

Ever since the game was first unveiled during thePS5 console design reveal showcase,Resident Evil 8has remained fresh in many people’s minds. For the last couple of years, Capcom has been remaking some of the classicResident Eviltitles from the ground up, and while there are certainly a lot of people who have gotten a lot of mileage out of those remakes, many other fans have been patiently waiting for more news regarding the next official installment in theResident Evilseries.

Though, whileResident Evilfans continue to patiently wait for moreRE 8news, Brazil has already given the game an age rating. Gematsu posted a screenshot of Brazil’s Ministry of Justice website showing what age range is recommended for the game. Unsurprisingly, the game’s rating is intended for those over the age of 18. Given all of the famous and terrifyingmonsters to come out ofResident Evil, this rating makes more than enough sense.

While an official age rating does give people a certain indication of the game releasing soon, an officialrelease date forResident Evil 8has yet to be confirmed. To be fair, the game was confirmed to release in 2021, but as of right now, there’s no way to know when exactly the game will launch. It could be in the Spring or the Fall of 2021, as far as the gaming community knows.

Although, the upcoming release ofResident Evil 8isn’t the only thing that fans have to look forward to in terms ofResident Evil. In addition to the new installment, theremake ofResident Evil 4is also rumored to be on the horizon, but so far, no official news has been unveiled in terms of that game. However, that’s not even mentioning all of the film and TV adaptations ofResident Evilcurrently in the works.

Back in August of this year, it was confirmed thatResident Evilwould be getting a Netflix seriesadaptation, in addition to a CGI movie calledResident Evil: Infinite Darkness. With the upcoming release of theResident Evilmovie reboot, there are plenty ofResident Evilrelated projects in the works for fans to look forward to in addition toResident Evil 8.
