Resident Evil 4remake players that are working their way through Chapter 2 will eventually collect and use a key item called the Hexagonal Emblem. Once thePlagas-infested area is cleared, Leon will proceed on a path leading to theVillage Chief’s Manorduring the ‘Head for the Church’ objective.
This manor will have a couple of useful items and notes for Leon to use and read through. There’s a typewriter upstairs so that players can save their progress, and next to that typewriter is a locked door that has a slot inside that is definitely in need of some sort of item.

How to Open the Door Upstairs in the Village Chief’s Manor
In order to open the locked door upstairs,Resident Evil 4players need to find a locked wardrobe. To get to it, go downstairs, turn left, and then make another left in the dining room to get an enclosed space with the wardrobe against the back wall. Players will need to solve apadlock puzzleto open it.
How to Open Cabinet in Village Chief’s Manor
Players can approach the cabinet to zoom in on the padlock that is keeping the cabinet shut. There’s a row of three icons that can be moved around, and players just need to have three specific ones set in place. The solution to theResident Evilpadlock puzzleis in the image below. The three symbols from left to right are:two branches with leaves, aturtle pig animal thing, andthe baby.
Open that sucker up to find an item called aCrystal Marble. Its description reads: “A crystal polished into a perfect sphere. Air bubbles can be seen on the inside.'

What to do With the Crystal Marble
Take the Crystal Marble upstairs to the locked doorand place it into the slot. Now, players must use the left and right bumpers and the left control stick to rotate the little orbs until they align with the insignia. Once it’s matched up, a click will come from the door, and players can finally get inside.
Players will find a document here, as well as anInsignia Key,in the drawer by the window. Once Leon grabs it, a cutscene will start, but we won’t spoil what happens here.
