Resident Evil 4is one of the franchise’s most beloved entries. The game is currently the highest-rated game out of all the series on Metacritic. With a critic score of 96 and a user score of 9.2, some fans of the game were desperate for a remake for next-gen hardware. And, during Capcom’s annualResident Evilshowcase in October 2022, it was announced thatResident Evil 4would be remade, with a release date aimed at July 28, 2025.

WhileResident Evil 4is a major horror titleconfirmed for this year, Capcom has only showcased the game a few times since its reveal. However, theResident Evil 4remake will be shown at the Saudi Arabia Game Awards Show, with Yoshiaki Hirabayashi making an appearance. The announcement was made on Twitter by the official account of the Arab Game Awards and will not only feature a discussion with Yoshiaki Hirabayashi but also screenshots of the gameplay. The event is going to be broadcast live on Friday at 9 p.m. Saudi time.
