While exploring the Raccoon City Police Station inResident Evil 2 (2019), players will encounter a variety of locked doors marked with a symbol correlated to one of the four suits of a deck of cards. Players must locate the matching key in order to unlock the rewards or shortcut behind each door, one of these keys being the diamond key.
After watching the cutscene following interacting with the parking garage door inResident Evil 2 (2019), players will head west toward the morgue. When passing through the kennel for the first time, players can take a quick moment to dispatch the infected dogs still trapped in the cages. Doing so will prevent them from escaping and attacking the next time the player passes through. Be sure to alsograb the high-powered gunpowderin the kennel, found in the sink by the east door.

In the morgue, players will want to search the two rows of temperature-controlled containers. In the southern row, players will find a red herb in the container second closest to the door and a flash-bang under the head of a zombie in the container furthest away. In the northern row, the container second closest to the door will have a zombie lying on top of the diamond key. The moment players add the key to their inventory, the zombie in the container will reanimate along with the zombie by the door to the morgue, so be ready to fight.
The First Diamond Door
With the key in hand, players can head back to the shooting range to unlock the diamond door to the armory. The dead officers at the back of the range will now be on their feet and will move toward the player upon entry to the shooting range. After dispatching the zombies, players can safely grab the red herb andfilm roll from behind the first diamond door.
The Second Diamond Door
The other door the diamond key unlocks is located back in the east wing of the station on the second floor near the lounge where the unicorn medallion was found. As players return to the main hall, they will find the Lieutenant has succumbed to his wounds and must now be taken out or avoided. Once players reach the second diamond door, they can use the key to access the linen room. Inside, some gunpowder can be found, as well as the second lock box, which, when solved, will give players a piece to thekeypad in the weapons locker.
Now that all corresponding doors are unlocked, the diamond key can be permanently stored or discarded.
