Redfallsends players to save the titular town from an evil vampire threat. An early mission asks the player character tocapture a neighborhood. The town ofRedfallis split into several neighborhoods, each containing a safehouse. Players mustfirst unlock the safehousein the neighborhood by restoring power to it. This gives players access to a safe area on the map to resupply their ammo and health kits.
Restoring power will also turn on any UV lamps placed around the safe house. These will petrify any vampires that step into the light for quick and easy kills. Once the safehouse is secure, players can go about capturing theRedfallneighborhood.

Redfall Safehouse Missions
Players must complete all the missions tied to a safe house to capture a neighborhood.Walk up to the largeRedfallmapin a safe house to view its mission. Safehouse missions will always take place in the neighborhood section of the map where the safehouse is located. These missions will have the same objectives, but the locations may vary slightly on each playthrough. Don’t expect the missions to go exactly the same whenjumping into a friend’s game.
Quitting out of the game willremove all active safehouse missionsfrom the quest log, regardless of any progress that the player has made. Make sure to complete any safehouse missionsbefore exitingthe game. If a mission has been lost when starting the game, return to the specific safehouse to pick up the mission once again.
Vampire Underbosses
Complete enough safehouse missions, and the area’s vampire underboss mission will be available. Accept the mission and hunt down the Vampire Underboss. These are powerful and unique vampires that have taken residence in the town ofRedfall.
Make sure to be prepared before attempting to take one down. These missions will be more linear than the typical safehouse missions. Expect to enter a building or other enclosed areas while tracking the underboss down.
Underbosses will have special abilities such as shielding nearby enemies and sapping health from the player character. Even if other enemies are nearby, it’s best to focus on the underboss and take them out first.
Killing the underboss will leave behind animportant underboss skull item.Make sure to pick these up to unlock valuable loot. Once the underboss is defeated, the neighborhood will be captured. This means the area will be slightly safer from enemies. Civilians will hang around the safe house. There will also be more ammo and health supplies in the safehouse at a cheaper cost.
