As a Tera raid boss, Emboar is a strong physical attacker with a high HP pool and moves that can be tricky for teams to handle. Emboar the Unrivaled can alsouse its Hidden Ability, Reckless, to enhance the damage of recoil moves like Wild Charge and Flare Blitz. Emboar can also use Bulk Up, Heat Crash, Head Smash, and Drain Punch during the battle.
AlthoughEmboar is a Tera-Electric boss Pokemon, trainers have developed strategies that forego exploiting its weakness to Ground-type attacks. On the r/PokemonScarletViolet subreddit, Pokemon trainers Galactic_Guardian and lumfdoesgaming shared how they used Annihilape to solo Emboar the Unrivaled successfully. Both builds gave Annihilape the Tera-Ghost type and used vitamins to enhance Annihilape’s HP and attack stats to their maximum. Their main moves, Bulk Up and Rage Fist, were saved until after Emboar used its stat-resetting move early in the fight. For secondary moves, Screech and Focus Energy were selected as a way to either lower Emboar’s defense or buff Annihilape’s critical hit chance. The final move slot was a choice between Drain Punch and Shadow Claw, both of which can build up Tera Orb charges.
