Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers have a limited time to redeem a code and get their hands on a special Gastrodon, a Water/Ground-type Pokemon that originally debuted in the Generation 4Pokemongames.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetfeature plenty of brand-new Pokemon for players to catch as they explore the Paldea region, but their Pokedex is padded with many familiar faces as well.
Pokemon from every other generation are available to catch inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, though the games don’t have the complete Pokedex. Even so, players will still find it an incredible challenge to catch ‘em all. Like otherPokemongames, there are a variety of ways forPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers to catch Pokemon, from the traditional method ofthrowing a Poke Ballto trading Pokemon with a friend.

Some Pokemon can also be obtained by redeeming special mystery gift codes during distribution events. Luckily forPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers, one such distribution event is going on right now. Until June 19,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers can redeem the codePTCCHAMP10N2122to claim a specialGastrodonbased on the one used by 2022 Pokemon Trainers Cup Champion Wonseok Jung. Anyone interested should be sure to claim their Gastrodon as soon as possible as they only have until June 19 to do so.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gastrodon Code
This is a level 50 East Sea Gastrodon, meaning its blue and green, and there is no chance for players to get a shiny variant of it. It comes with the Leftovers item, and it has four attacks: Ground-type attack Earth Power, Ice-type attack Ice Beam, Normal-type attack Yawn, and Normal-type attack Protect. In the right hands, this Gastrodon should make an incredibly valuable addition to anyone’sPokemon Scarlet and Violetteam.
It’s safe to say that at this point, the majority of hardcorePokemonfans who picked upPokemon Scarlet and Violethave completed the game and may not have as much use for this special Gastrodon. However, it’s possible they will get the chance to put him to use with the release of thenewPokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC. For the uninitiated, Game Freak and Nintendo are planning on releasing two substantialPokemon Scarlet and Violetexpansion packs, with one set to drop this fall and another this winter. Little is known about the expansion packs so far, but it has been confirmed that they will be introducing at least two new Pokemon to the canon.
