Pokemon GOhas come a very long way with its offerings since it released in 2016. Starting with just the Generation 1 Pokemon, Niantic has steadily added each following generation. Now players have Pokemon from up to Generation 6 to fill their Pokedex with, and it has done wonders to givePokemon GOa continued sense of longevity.
While there is some challenge in collecting the hundreds of common Pokemon that have been added toPokemon GOso far, many players find particular excitement in the franchise’srare Mythical Pokemon. These Pokemon can’t be obtained by normal means, as they’re usually reserved for events such as Special Research tasks. Niantic has done a respectable job adding many of the early Mythical Pokemon from the franchise into the game up to this point, and the upcomingPokemon GOFest 2021 will be adding another. That being said, there are still many Mythical Pokemon that haven’t been added yet.

Unreleased Mythical Pokemon
Pokemon GOhas released Mythical Pokemon from the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions, but other regions have not had all of their Mythical Pokemon featured just yet. It appears that the game is jumping betweenSinnohand Unova right now, gradually adding Mythical Pokemon from each region instead of completely committing to one or the other. The following missing Pokemon are planned to release at some point in the future, as they have been given in-game models and game information. It’s unclear when they will all be added, but it will likely be through some special event.
Upcoming Mythical Pokemon
WhilePokemon GOhas gone great lengths to include a good chunk of the hundreds of Pokemon that exist, there are still some regions it hasn’t gotten to yet. Niantic has beenadding Kalos region Pokemon for the past few months, but there’s still a whole two regions that it hasn’t touched. While there has been some news on one of the following Mythical Pokemon, fans can only speculate on what these Pokemon will look like in-game and how they’ll work until official assets are created.
Mythical Pokemon are some of the most highly sought after no matter whatPokemongame they’re in, so getting access to one inPokemon GOcan be particularly special. Hopefully as the game continues to evolve and hold more special events likePokemon GOFest, more of these Mythical Pokemon will be available for players to add to their Pokedex.

Pokemon GOis available now on Android and iOS devices.
