In these games, the Pokemon are able to speak human language and navigate the game world similarly toShiren The Wanderer.Mystery Dungeonfollows a roguelike formula with randomly generated dungeons and turn-based moves — quite different to the collection-style gameplay from most games in the franchise. Now, rumors might point to signs that the title will be making a comeback in some form soon.

Fans believe that an entry in thePokemon Mystery Dungeoncould be announced soon due to a listing on the Pokemon Together website. The website was launched by The Pokemon Company to host contests and news related to Pokemon Day. However, following the launch, eagle-eyed users decided to dig deeper into the website in hopes of finding new announcements. This led them to find a copyright attribution to Spike Chunsoft dated 1993 to 2023.
No statements have been made yet, but fans have speculated that a new entry might be on the way since Spike Chunsoft is the developer of theMystery Dungeonseries. Rumors point out that the announcement relating to the title could be released on Pokemon Day 2023. While this is not an official confirmation, there is demand fornew entries in thePokemon Mystery Dungeonseries, so this will be a welcome development if it happens.
The 27th celebration of Pokemon Daywill be happening on June 04, 2025, so fans are expecting official announcements around then. Whether Spike Chunsoft’s partnership with Pokemon will yield new products or titles on that day is yet to be seen. However, with the last release being a remake, one can hope that Spike Chunsoft will create remasters for the other games as well. This series has had six titles already.
