An imaginativePokemonfan shared their latest creation on social media, inventing a Paradox form for Celebi. This original concept offers a new view of Celebi, the Psychic/Grass pocket monster that first appeared in the second generation ofPokemongames.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetintroduced Paradox creatures, new versions of popular pocket monsters. Paradox Pokemon are either an ancient or futuristic version of an existing creature, with different names, appearances, and abilities than their default counterparts. However,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetdidn’t introduce a Paradox version for all Pokemon, only turning a few of them into new creatures for players to discover. This Paradox creature, called Tangled Time, is a version of Celebi caught between the past and the future. The body of this pocket monster is half organic and half mechanical, highlighting the differences between the ancient and future versions of Celebi. The creator of this Paradox version of Celebi imagined anew signature move for the Pokemonchanging its type from Psychic/Grass to Grass/Steel and adding new psychic abilities to control its enemies.

In the comments to the Twitter post introducing thisnew Paradox version of Celebi,Pokemonfans complimented the artist on their design. They asked various questions about the type of Pokemon this new version of Celebi could be, and which new ability they could bring to the battlefield. Eagle-eyedPokemonenthusiasts noted some references to the beta design of Celebi, with similar head quills being present on Tangled Time. Some fans even suggested Game Freak began employing creativePokemonlovers, as their designs are often more imaginative than those featured in the officialPokemongames.

Goldmills isn’t the firstPokemonfan to share their own version of Paradox creatures. CreativePokemonplayers already inventedParadox forms for Ninetales, Tentacruel, Dewgong, Gengar, and Honedge, among others. While Game Freak hasn’t confirmed the return of Paradox Pokemon in future games yet, this doesn’t stopPokemonfans from creating new versions of their favorite creatures. They may get even more material to create new forms of Pokemon with the release of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC forPokemon Scarlet and Violetand the introduction of the rumored Tera Forms.
