Since being released just over a year ago,Phasmophobiahas become a phenomenal success, particularly among the streaming community, who have no doubt spent countless hours hunting and being chased by ghosts. In fact, theKinetic Games horror title has become one of the highest rated on Steam, just shy after a big anniversary dropped which added in lots of new content. Now, as if that wasn’t enough for the fan base, there is the possibility that even more may be getting added after a recent tease went live.
Posting to the officialPhasmophobiaTwitter account yesterday, there is the possibility that two new ghosts may be getting added to the roster. The tweet came included with a screenshot which shows the game’s journal. This particular image lists the ghosts that are already included, such as the wraith, phantom, demon etc. But at the end of the list there appears to be two other entries, which have been blurred out, obscuring what they say.

This has caused people to conclude that two new ghosts may be coming to the game at some point. ThePhasmophobiaExposition Update went live in August, which added plenty of new things, and tweaked some bugs. As well as new equipment, such as the D.O.T.S. Projector, two new ghosts were added, the Goryo, and the Myling. If this latest tweet is anything to go by, then it’s possible that the game will be getting some additional spectral enemies to discover, so soon after the anniversary patch.
Of course, there is nothing confirmed by the developer, although they do ask in the tweet “what could they be?” so people on Twitter are seemingly already excited about the prospect of two new ghosts. Whether or not one of thePhasmoghosts could be the hilarious “sheet ghost” ideathat one fan had a while back is anyone’s guess. It’s likely that Kinetic Games will make some sort of announcement about what the tweet is referring to at some point.
Phasmophobiaalso added a single player mode recently, which is good news for people who don’t play online. The game has also become a lot scarier, and a little trickier now that it has more ghosts, but is thoroughly enjoyed by millions of thrill seekers. Overall, the studio is working tirelessly to keep its IP in tip-top shape, and with Halloween coming up in a few weeks, it wouldn’t be too surprising if the game did get a big update with lots of new content.
Phasmophobiais available right now for Android and PC. The game comes in VR and non-VR modes.
