Though each dungeon varies in its level and the roster of regular and Alpha Pals within, they are all relatively similar to one another in the sense that they each provide Chests with random loot, along with providing playersAncient Civilization Partsfor defeating the Alpha Pal inside. This list has been updated to include the Feybreak Caverns, dungeons exclusive to Feybreak Island. With a vast array of resources and powerful Pals, the Feybreak Caverns may just be one of the most challenging yet rewarding dungeons for players to explore.
8Isolated Island Cavern & Hillside Cavern Dungeons
Level 13 Dungeons That Are Home To Fairly Common Pals
TheIsolated Island CavernandHillside Cavern Dungeonsare essentially the same and can both be accessed relatively close toPalworld’sstarter locations. As expected, these Dungeons are arguably the easiest to clear, which is agreat benefit for players looking to acquire some quick rewards, such asGold Coinsand other lucrative items from the Dungeon Chests, with minimal effort. Another neat feature of both dungeons is theirsupply ofOre,Sulfur, andPaldium Fragmentdeposits. While theseresources can be automatically farmedvia a well-placed base, these dungeons can be a great source for each resource early on — along with finding a Small Lotus Flower at the Alpha Boss area.
When it comes to Pal availability, however, both dungeons are fairly lacking, as most of its roster of Pals are fairly common and low-ranking. The only standout Pals that can potentially spawn in either dungeon include theAlphaTombatandFuddler, which each can be a decent starter option for mining.Boss variants ofMauandVixycan also be found here, and both can be quite useful for setting up an automatic Gold Coin farm via the Ranch, with the base version of Mau being a fairly common Pal to come across in this Dungeon. However, compared to the latter options, both the Isolated Island Cavern and Hillside Cavern Dungeons don’t necessarily hold up to be all that useful in the long run.
7Ravine Grotto Dungeons
Level 19 Dungeons With The Potential To Spawn Decent Starter Dark Pals
TheRavine Grotto Dungeonsare the next available dungeon type players may potentially come across inPalworld, as they are located at Investigators Fork and Ascetic Falls. Though fairly few in number, these dungeons can be worth clearing for their potential resources. The Ravine Grotto Dungeons follow suit with the last two dungeons in their ability toprovideOre,Sulfur, andPaldium Fragmentdepositsbut feature much less Ore and Sulfur this time around. They do, however, offer the benefit ofprovidingCoaldeposits, which can be handy for quickly obtaining Coal if players have yet to set up abase that can farm it automatically. Players also have the potential tofind Small Lotus Flowershere — perfect for making stat-boosting Remedies.
In terms of potential Pals, the Ravine Grotto Dungeons are a step above the last two, as players can find some decent starter Dark Pals here. Pals such asNoxandDaedreamcan both be found as common encountersin this dungeon, proving relatively useful for players looking to deal some Dark damage early on. BothMauandFuddlerare also normal encountersin this dungeon, much like in the Isolated Island Cavern and Hillside Cavern Dungeons. Alpha Pal encounters include both anAlpha Nox and an AlphaCawgnito, further adding to the dungeon’s roster of Dark Pals. However, like the previous dungeons, all other Alpha Pals here are not necessarily worth pursuing, as they are commonly found in other areas.
6Mountain Stream Grotto Dungeons
Level 29 Dungeons Offering Some Useful Base Pals
Next, there are theMountain Stream Grotto Dungeons, which are found scattered throughout Mount Flopie, Mossandra Forest, and the Frostbound Mountains. This particular dungeon is similar to the Isolated Island Cavern and Hillside Cavern Dungeons in the fact that it offers quite adecent supply ofOre,Sulfur, andPaldium Fragmentdeposits, along with various Chests that offer players the chance to obtain a random pool of loot. This dungeon also offers players the chance tofind other resources, such as the Small Lotus Flowers, which can beused to make Remedies.
Though the resources within the Mountain Stream Grotto Dungeons are on par with many of the previous options on this list, the roster of great Pals that can be found in this dungeon is remarkably useful for a mid-game base.Katress, for instance, is a fairly common normal encounter in these dungeons and is capable of covering a range of professions likeHandiwork, Medicine Production, and Transporting. Katress can even work at the player’s base through the night.Felbatis another normal encounter that canprove useful in Medicine Production, along withLoupmoonfor HandiworkandGrintalefor Gathering. All three Pals can also be encountered as Alpha bosses and are arguably the most desirable Alpha Pals outside of AlphaRobinquill, who specializes in a wide range of professions likePlanting, Handiwork, Gathering, Lumbering, Medicine Production, and Transporting.
5Volcanic Cavern Dungeons
Level 29 Dungeons Offering A Diverse Range Of Pals
TheVolcanic Cavern Dungeonsare one of the most treacherous dungeons for players to venture into, as they are located within Mount Obsidian, a location that requires players to have gear necessary for surviving the heat before heading there. The dungeon itself is also relatively dangerous, with many portions of it filled with lava, calling upon players to bring a Pal capable of flying to cross some areas. However, this challenge does bring bigger rewards, as the Volcanic Cavern Dungeons seemingly offer anincreased rarity of Chests, often requiring a Lockpick or aSilver Keyto open. As far as other resources go, however, the Volcanic Cavern Dungeons are much less forgiving, offering fewerOre,Sulfur, andPaldium Fragmentdeposits than other dungeons, along with less opportunity to spawn Lotus Flowers required for remedies.
Though the Pals found in Volcanic Cavern Dungeons are arguably higher ranking than many other dungeons on this list, they are currently swapped for those that should be found in the Cavern of the Dunes Dungeons. Though this roster of Pals does not necessarily match the dungeon’s aesthetics, there are some useful ones players can find here.Mossanda Lux, for example, is a fairly common encounter in this dungeonand can be agreat Pal for powering Power Generatorsto keep various Assembly Lines up and running.Lovanderis another common encounter here and is a decent option for players looking for a Pal thatcovers Handiwork, Mining, Medicine Production, and Transporting. In terms of Alpha Pals, there are some standout options, such asRobinquill Terra, who covers quite a few professions, andRayhound, who is a decently fast ground Pal. AlphaDigtoisecan also be found here, which can be agreat addition to players' mining Pal roster.
4Cavern of the Dunes Dungeons
Level 38 Dungeons Offering A Plethora Of Fire Pals
Following the trend of areas that require players to survive the heat, there is theCavern of the Dunes Dungeons. Much like some other dungeons on this list, Cavern of the Dunes offers anabundance ofOre,Coal, andPaldium Fragmentdeposits. However, what allows this particular dungeon to rank above the others is its opportunity for players toacquire Large Lotus Flowers for crafting Elixirs. This increase in valuable resources does come with more challenges, as the enemies encountered in the Cavern of the Dunes Dungeons are tough to deal with.
When it comes to Pals, the Cavern of the Dunes Dungeons offers a great roster of Fire Pals, all of which should actually spawn within the Volcanic Cavern Dungeons. Some of these Pals includePyrin NoctandBlazehowl Noctas common encounters. Pyrin Noct is a fairly fast ground mount with the ability to dish out Fire and Dark attacks. Blazehowl Noct, on the other hand, isanexcellent Kindler, just like its regular counterpart. Useful Alpha Pals players can acquire includeReptyro, majoring inMining and Kindling, along withRagnahawk, one of thefastest flying mounts, andBushi, who covers a lot of different professions.
3Sacred Mountain Cavern Dungeons
Level 45 Dungeons With A Diverse Range Of Ice Pals
TheSacred Mountain Cavern Dungeonsare one of the harder dungeons for players to head to, as they are located within the coldest regions of the Palpagos Islands. While players will need tosurvive the coldto venture here, these dungeons are relatively unique as they are one of the fewcontainingPure Quartz. Pure Quartz is a useful resource for craftingCircuit Boards, but players can alsoacquire Large Lotus Flowers in this area— ideal for crafting some of the best Elixirs available.
Resources aside, the Sacred Mountain Cavern Dungeons also provide some excellent Pals players can add to their Paldeck.Lunaris, for example, is a common encounter here and is one of the most useful Pals players can acquire thanks to theirlevel 3 in Handiwork.Maraithis another common encounter and is a good Dark mount for players to consider. Other useful Pals includeSibelyxfor their ability tofarmHigh Quality Clothvia the Ranch. All the aforementioned Pals can be encountered as Alpha bosses, along with other standout Pals such asQuivernfor dishing out some powerful Dragon attacks while mounted andCryolinxforLumbering and Cooling. All in all, the Sacred Mountain Cavern Dungeons offer some of the most useful and diverse Pals of the dungeons available inPalworld.
2Cherry Blossom Cave Dungeons
Level 52 Dungeons Home To Sakurajima Pals
The Cherry Blossom Caves marked their debut for the Sakurajima update, and are located on Sakurajima Island. This particular dungeon is one ofthe most beautiful-looking areas of the game, along with being one of the most spacious dungeons on this list. In terms of resources, the Cherry Blossom Cave Dungeons are on par with the Cavern of the Dunes Dungeons,offeringOre,Paldium Fragment, andCoaldeposits. However, this dungeon alsocontainsPure Quartz, making it rather versatile for resource gathering. Cherry Blossom Cave Dungeons also offers the ability toacquire the Large Lotus Flowers to craft Elixirs, much to the same degree as the Cavern of the Dunes Dungeons and the Sacred Mountain Cavern Dungeons.
Where the Cherry Blossom Cave Dungeons shine the most, however, is in offering an excellent roster of different Pals that are valuable additions to the player’s base. Some of the best Pals players can find here areBushi Noct, Wixen Noct, and Katress Ignis. These Pals are common encounters and offer a range ofbenefits such as Kindling, Handiwork, Medicine Production, Gathering, and Transporting. All aforementioned Pals can also be encountered as Alpha bosses, along with other standoutPals likeHelzephyr Luxfor powering generatorsandDogen, who covers a wide range of different professions.
1Feybreak Caverns
Level 58 Dungeon Home To Powerful Feybreak Pals
In the top spot are theFeybreak Caverns, dungeons unique to Feybreak Island. While Feybreak is home to a diverse range of biomes, all Feybreak Caverns are relatively the same no matter where they are found. In terms of resources, Feybreak Caverns are the most diverse,offering plenty of Hexolite Quartz and Chromite nodesfor players to mine, along withaccess toPure QuartzandPaldium Fragmentnodes.These caverns also contain agenerous number of Large Lotus Flowers, which are essential for crafting Elixirs—even more so than many previous dungeons.
Aside from resources, players can alsoencounter a variety of Feybreak Palswithin the Feybreak Caverns, most notably Tarantriss, Nyafia, Starryon, and many more. Nearly every Feybreak Pal can also appear as an Alpha Boss at the dungeon’s end, making the Feybreak Caverns a great place toseek out powerful Alpha Pals. That’s not all—if players reach the end of the dungeon, they have agood chance of acquiring Schematicsfrom the chests available. These chests also offer a high chance ofcontaining the Xenolord Slab Fragment, an essential item for taking on the Xenolord Raid Boss.
