Now, a week ahead of Season 8’s launch,Overwatch 2has taken to Twitter to confirm the new season’s Mythic skin that will sit at tier 80 on the battle pass: Grand Beast Orisa. The short clip showed Orisa humorously booping Mauga out of frame to show off her new look. The stylish Mythic has four different colorways, with players being able to swap between the base gray, dark purple, icy blue, and magma red. Additionally, like some ofOverwatch 2’s previous mythic skins, Orisa’s will feature unique sound effects and visuals for her abilities.

Fans seem to be underwhelmed with Orisa’s Season 8 Mythic skin, as under the Tweet many are making comparisons to Orisa’s Beetle skin, which features a similar sort of horn on the top of her head with similar colors. That said, having the option of four colors, including purple and red, may rectify the similarity to the Beetle skin. It’ll be interesting to see whether the rest of the Season 8 battle pass will feature some Winter-themed skins following Season 7’s Halloween-inspired cosmetics.Overwatch 2’s annual Winter Wonderland eventshould be making its return next month, so a matching battle pass theme would be fitting.

Now that Season 8 is just a week away, it shouldn’t be long until Blizzard lays out the contents of the entire season and what else fans can expect alongside Mauga andOverwatch 2’s new Clash mode. The arrival of Mauga, along with the new mode and battle pass, will surely inject some juice into theOverwatch 2community as the Winter Wonderland event is also expected to kick off next month.
