One Piece’sEgghead Island arc is currently moving in full force and with each passing chapter, it appears that this short arc is edging towards its end. However,One Piece1074 was one that implied that this arc might go on for quite a bit more than fans expected. First of all, the fleet heading to Egghead Island is nowhere to be seen at the moment. This implies thatthe Straw Hat Pirateswill be on the island for quite some time. However, more importantly, it was Shaka who mentioned to the crew and, by extension, the fans, that things aren’t going the way they want them to at the moment.

There aremysterious forces on Egghead Islandthat are constantly causing hindrances for both Vegapunk and the Straw Hat Pirates. The surprising part is, however, that not many people are on Egghead Island and none of them are known to be enemies, other than Lucci and Kaku, both of which have been already captured. This opens up room for there to be a traitor among the ranks of the group. However, who is this traitor?

When the Straw Hat Pirates arrived on Egghead Island, it was made clear that this place was full of danger. Lilith, one ofthe members of Vagapunk’s satellites, immediately made it known that she wanted the Straw Hats to give over all their valuables and surrender. Shortly afterwards, the fans were amazed by how incredible an island Vegapunk had managed to build. The technology he possessed was incredible and it appeared that all of his bodies worked well with each other to have created this marvel. However, it was when Lucci and Kaku, along with Stussy, arrived on Egghead Island that trouble started to brew.

Vegapunk’s real body On Egghead Island

While Lucci and Kaku were both able to engage the Straw Hat Pirates in combat, technically, they should not have been able to do so. This was only made possible after the Labo-Stratum Frontier Dome was somehow deactivated. At the time, it was not made clear how exactly this happened and many believe that this was the doing ofnone other than Stussy. However, as the story went on, it became abundantly clear that Stussy was not the one responsible for it and was not luring them into any trap. This means that there was actively someone playing against Vegapunk and all his satellites at the moment.

What’s more, inOne Piece1074, Pythagoras, one of the satellite bodies of Vegapunk, saw a Seraphim sneak upon him from behind and attack him, which led to a massive explosion in one of the towers on Egghead Island. The person who ordered this is the same one who disabled the Labo-stratum Frontier Dome. At this point, it is very well established that there is a traitor among the ranks in the group that fans are supposed to be following, however, the identity of this person is not known just yet.

The Red Herring For The Traitors

There are also several red herrings for the traitor, and Oda always does this every time he writes a traitor plot. This was seen in Whole Cake Island with Pudding and, even on Zou, where it was revealed that a traitor was among the ranks of the Akazaya Samurai. Here, things are no different. The very first person who every fan would point you would be caribou. After all, he is on the island and is also someone who the Straw Hat Pirates do not trust at all. All fingers would point to him first of all, however, upon a deeper look, it makes absolutely no sense for Caribou to do this.

For one, Caribou knows that he stands no chance against the Straw Hat Pirates and if he is found out, he will lose his life. Secondly, Caribou does not know how to work his way through all the advanced technology of Egghead Island. He cannot deactivate the Frontier dome on his own. It makes even less sense when considering the fact that allowing Government officials in would only put him in more danger. As such, Caribou most certainly did not do any of this and is not the traitor on egghead Island.

The Actual Possible Traitors

Leaving him aside, all fingers would point to either an ally of Dr. Vegapunk, or one of Dr. Vega punk’s very own bodies. While Stussy might be considered to be a traitor by some fans, she had nothing to do with it, as confirmed in the previous chapters. In fact,One Piece1074 shows Stussy with the group when the attack on Pythagoras took place. There are only some characters missing at this point and one of them could be the traitor on Egghead Island.

The two characters are Pythagoras, who was checking in Tower C at the moment, and Lilith, who’s also looking for Stella at this point. As fans know already, Lilith is the evil in Dr. Vegapunk and can, as such, be the traitor. She can easily deactivate the Frontier Dome, given that she knows her way around it and she can also be the one who pulled up on Pythagoras and attacked him. However, that seems a little too straightforward for Oda’s liking. There is also the fact that none of the Seraphims listened to her when she ordered them to stop.

It must be noted that Lilith has always shown loyalty to the Vegapunk bodies. When Edison was about to be attacked, Lilith was almost reduced to tears at the thought of him dying. She was always tempted to be on the front lines to fight any incoming danger and appears to be one with no ulterior motives, just a mischievous mind. This leaves behind Pythagoras and Edison, who fans saw get attacked in the previous chapter. However, the attack wasn’t exactly shown to the fans in the first place.

Pythagoras mentioned how nobody was in Tower C and could very well have been lying. Shortly afterwards, it is entirely possible that he ordered the attack on the Vegapunk bodies, who were already suspicious of him. Given that he is the wisdom satellite of Dr. Vegapunk, he must have realized that this is the best way to go forward and decided to act independently. Similarly, Eidson is also a very strong suspect as he never gave an order to any of the Seraphims that they disobeyed. As such, even though he was attacked, it could easily have been set up by him. Regardless, fans will most likely find the true identity of the traitor on Egghead Island and it is surely going to be an intriguing plot twist even if the traitor is not one of these two.
