Summary
One of the few individuals working to bring about true change from within the Marines, Issho, more often known as Admiral Fujitora, is a compassionate man at heart. Easily the most morally upstanding of the Admirals in Eiichiro Oda’sOne Piece, Fujitora is dedicated to safeguarding innocents atany cost while bringing criminals to justice. At a time, he was so horrified by the evil he saw in the world, that he intentionally blinded himself, and is now on a path to infuse his virtuous ideal of “Humane Justice” into the World Government and its affiliated organizations, ridding them of the corruption that has been plaguing them for so long.
All this considered, he is not a slouch when it comes to fighting by any means, but is often more preoccupied with ensuring the safety of civilians rather than getting the better of his opponent. Possessing the power of the Zushi Zushi no Mi, which allows him to produce and manipulate gravitational fields at will, Fujitora can rain down devastating force on anyone he deems an adversary. His incredible power has led to him being dubbed a “monster” like the other Admirals, placing him in thecompany of some of the strongest charactersinOne Piece.

A Paragon Of Humane Justice
Till date, the full extent of Fujitora’s abilities have not been explored, as he tends to hold back in fights and is nowhere near as ruthless as his peers among the Admirals. He seldom concentrates on completely obliterating his enemies, although he could easily do so, and is generallymore concerned with safely defusing situationsto mitigate harm to the life and property of civilians. Whenever he does inadvertently cause collateral damage, he is always the first to compensate those adversely afflicted by his actions.
Contrarily, Fujitora does seem to hold some level of pride in his standing within the ranks of the Marines and is not averse to displays of his strength whenever the situation demands it. He is careful not to use excessive force against weaker foes, and only makes exceptions when faced with an enemy whose strength is comparable to his own. For starters, he was able to go up against Sabo, Chief of Staff in the Revolutionary Armyand the user of the Mera Mera no Mi, emerging unscathed without even going all out.

While he does have a reckless side, as seen in how he routinely summons meteorites with his Devil Fruit powers, he is quite measured and efficient in combat scenarios. Fujitora has clashed with the likes of Law, Luffy, and Zoro in brief encounters, without seeming even slightly fazed. In conjunction with his Devil Fruit ability, Fujitora is also a swordsman, and often uses his blade with a reverse grip to parry attacks towards him or manipulate the gravitational effects rendered by his Devil Fruit powers. Naturally,by virtue of being a Marine Admiral, he also holds a great degree of military might at his disposal, being able to summon battleships, request a Buster Call, or even transfer these powers to his subordinates if required.
The Wrath Of The Wisteria Tiger
Fujitora mainly relies on Observation Haki to determine the layout of a battlefield and distribution of opponents, as he is able to perceive his environment and those around him while being unimpaired by the prejudice of sight. With it, he can predict incoming attacks, sense danger approaching from any angle, andread the true emotions of those he is surrounded by. He also relies on his keen sense of hearing, which has been honed to inhuman levels, prompting many to state that his lack of eyesight does not seem to hinder him in combat at all.

Much like other swordsmen of a high caliber such as Roronoa Zoro or Dracule Mihawk, Fujitora is an expert user of Armament Haki, and usually channels it into his sword to turn it obsidian-black. He was shown using it against Sabo’s newly acquired Logia abilities in Dressrosa, when the latter was also a skilled Armament Haki user. His Haki waspowerful enough to clash with Luffyand resist the effects of Doflamingo’s Torikago, whose strings could cut through cannonballs or slice apart entire buildings.
The Potent Zushi Zushi no Mi
A Paramecia type fruit that allows the user to generate and manipulate gravitational fields and forces, the Zushi Zushi no Mi is not a Devil Fruit to be taken lightly, and Fujitora’s proficiency at using its techniques is no joke. Mainly guided by the movements of his sword,Fujitora can manipulate gravity over extremely large areas, potentially even entire islands. The power manifests as circles of transparent energy in most cases, with occasional bursts of dark lightning as a visual flourish.
His usual approach involves first pinning an opponent to the ground by increasing the level of gravity acting on them, preventing them from moving when subjected to such intense downward force. At its most extreme, this technique, known as Gravito, can create craters in the ground on a massive scale. Similarly, hehas also been shown summoning large meteoritesfrom the sky, indicating that his powers may extend to an even greater range, which could be a terrifying prospect if he starts fighting seriously.

The Admiral often negates the downward force of gravity to levitate himself or other objects, channeling his powers into a form of telekinesis. Besides increasing or decreasing the amount of gradational force acting on an object or area, Fujitora can alter the direction of gravity itself to generate strong repulsive forces, which push outwards and destroy everything in their path, in a move known as Moko. He also uses it as a defense to repel incoming attacks, creating a sphere of gravity around him. Thus, the versatile capabilities of his Devil Fruit, combined with his intelligence, swordsmanship, and skill with using Haki, would be tough for any opponent to contend with, highlighting his truly astounding strength, which more than surpasseswhat is expected from a Marine Admiral.
