Summary
One Piecehas been riddled with breaks lately, but it appears that the trade-off is certainly worth it given that the author has raised the intensity of the Egghead arc by tenfold. Every single chapter of this arc has been phenomenal so far and recently, fans got to see what might just be the craziest chapter of all.One Piecereturned with a bang with chapter 1094 and it is safe to say that this chapter was one of the most shocking ones in the story.
As was expected,the fight between Luffy and Kizarucontinued to some extent, however, the biggest shocker came towards the end, when Saturn, one of the Five Elders, finally decided to make his move. This was something that the fans expected would happen at some point, however, even knowing it was not enough to prepare them for what they were about to witness. This chapter was full of tension and there’s a lot for the fans to dissect.
Sanji Rescues Bonney
In typical Oda style, the start ofOne Piecechapter 1094 was rather slow when compared to what happened towards the end. This helped fans prepare for what they were about to witness and also set the tone for the beginning after a 2-week break. As seen towards the end of the last chapter, the goalsfor the Straw Hat Piratesright now were split. Luffy was fighting against Kizaru to keep him busy. Meanwhile, Zorro was fighting against Lucci to keep him at bat. At the same time, Jinbe was taking all of Vegapunk’s stuff and getting them to the ship. Nami and Usopp were simply there, and Sanji and Franky went with Vegapunk and Atlas to the Fabriophase because they wanted to rescue Bonney and change the orders for the Pacifistas.
They successfully managed to do that at the end ofOne Piecechapter 1093 and this week, fans saw the Pacifistas turn against the Marines and start attacking them. This was completely expected, given that Atlas has the highest authority on the island and the Marines certainly looked like they were in trouble. 50 Mark 3 Pacifistas were surely not going to be easy to take on and, even with their powerful Vice Admirals, it would have been too much.
That is precisely what prompted Saturn into action later on in the arc, however, the primary goal at the beginning of the chapter was to rescue Bonney. While she was doing very well on her own, even taking down several Marines, seeing one of the Pacifistas being used as a ride and attacking her completely froze her. That is precisely when Oda decided to give Sanji a moment to shine. Once again, his incredible usage of Observation Haki was showcased, on top of that, his speed was highlighted once again. Before the Pacifista could blow her up, Sanji rescued her and then also saved her from one of the Vice Admiral’s attack. As soon as Bonney was rescued, Vegapunk decided to go back to the Labophase.
Luffy Vs Kizaru Ends
Fans expectedthe fight between Luffy and Kizaruto continue inOne Piecechapter 1094 and that is exactly what happened. This fight was one that was not going to last long. This is largely due to the fact that this is not a proper fight to begin with. The two characters that are engaged in this fight both have different motivations that have nothing to do with taking the other down. Kizaru wants to assassinate Vegapunk and he does not mind leaving Luffy behind and doing it sneakily. Meanwhile, Luffy’s goal is to defend Vegapunk and keep Kizaru at bay until the rest of the crew regroup and they can finally escape from the island. It is quite clear that, even though these two characters have fought, they are not going all out at the moment, especially Luffy.
Both of the characters appeared to be out of breath in this week’s chapter and Kizaru, once again, decided to attempt to assassinate Vegapunk. While he did fail, this gave Luffy an opportunity to showcase his new Devil Fruit powers. Using what appears to be a combination of Gear 4 and Gear 5, combined withthe usage of the Color of the Supreme King, Luffy absolutely clobbered Kizaru right in the head using a new attack named White Star Gun.
This attack was powerful enough to even make Kizaru worry as he knew he got hit by something he should have avoided. This technique was Luffy’s last bit of energy in Gear 5 and he was knocked out of it. However, it did the job as Kizaru was sent flying as well and, given that this technique saw the usage of Conqueror’s Haki, one can assume that Kizaru is down for good.
Saturn Shows His Power
Without a doubt, the highlight ofOne Piecechapter 1094 was one of the Five Elders, Saint Saturn. This is a character who looked very ominous towards the end ofOne Piecechapter 1093. Fans could tell that he was going to do something and Gamerrant had predicted that Saturn would finally make his move. That is precisely what ended up happening in the chapter as Saturn used his powers to order all the Pacifistas to his side again. Given that he’s the highest authority when it comes to the Pacifistas Control Hierarchy, all the Mark 3 Pacifistas are now on the side of the Marines and the goal has now again switched from fighting against Marines to annihilating pirates and Vegapunk.
What’s more, Saturn then proceeded to use a summoning circle which appeared straight out of a demonic story. This summoning circle manifested itself on Egghead and fans could see huge flames and Haki sparks emerge from it. In the center of it, Saturn emerged, teleporting from the ship to the island. His full Devil Fruit form was finally revealed and it appears to be a sort of a Japanese folklore Yokai. In his case, the power appears to be one based on the Ushi Oni, known to have the lower half of a spider and the upper half of an ox. This spider-like oni is certainly one to fear as Saturn looks absolutely menacing. The fact that his presence could be felt all over the entire island, even by non-fighters, just goes to show how dangerous this person is.
In fact, what’s even crazier was the fact that it was revealed that Marines below the rank of commodore cannot even make eye contact with him. When one of them tried to do so, his head was completely blown off using an unknown ability. By all means, this chapter saw Saturn jump into battle, and from here onwards, the story is only going to get more intense. With Luffy and Kizaru finally ending their clash and Luffy being out of breath, things might go from bad to worse for the Straw Hat Pirates.
Meanwhile, Vegapunk, Bonney, Franky, Atlas, and Sanji are currently in front of Saturn. Bonney used this opportunity to stab Saturn right in the chest, much to the shock of the readers. This was done because Saturn had something to do with Kuma’s memories being erased, likely being the primary reason for it. However, her decision to stab one of the Five Elders might come to bite her back in the next chapter as there doesn’t appear to be anywhere to go for the Straw Hat Pirates and no help around either. Things could easily go from bad to worse asOne Piececontinuesits intense run in the Final Saga.
