Once Humanis an interesting mix ofsurvival gameplay in a horror setting, with additional gameplay elements such as pet capturing, and a great storyline. The game is free to play, with cosmetics available for sale in the cash shop. There is also a monthly subscription available that gives additional benefits.
Most survival games offer fishing as an activity. Some make it a core gameplay mechanic, others simply include it for completion’s sake.Fishing in Once Humanis actually quite basic, but it is useful for two reasons. Firstly, the player can use the fish that they catch as ingredients for food crafting recipes. Secondly, there are deviants that can only be caught while the player is fishing. There are better fishing implementations in other survival games, but the fishing inOnce Humanis adequate.
7Wild Dog Isle
Great For New Players
New players who are looking for a good place to start their fishing career inOnce Human, could do worse than swim across to Wild Dog Isle. This location is close to a PvP zone that is usuallyclaimed by a warband, so be careful not to enter the zone by mistake.
What makes Wild Dog Isle a great fishing spot, is the fact that apart from the first day of a game season, this area is almost deserted of players. This means that fishing fans can have the entire place to themselves, with no pesky players running around.
6Brookham Dock
Fishing And Acid Farming In One
Some players might find fishing a tad boring. And in all honesty, the fishing system inOnce Humanis not exactly complex or engaging, it can be something of a grind trying to catch enough fish to craft recipes. Heading to somewhere like Brookham Dock could spice things up.
Brookham is apolluted zone, and the player will find that deviants will spawn whilst they are fishing, which they will have to deal with. The bonus here, is that these deviants will also drop acid, a resource all players need.
5Harborside Bridge
Easy Fishing
Harborside is an interesting POI based on a sunken, flooded town. Because it is flooded, the water level comes up to the edge of the main road bridge in the town. This makes it a very easy, uncluttered location to fish from.
Landing fish from the bridge is extremely easy indeed. The only downside for low-level players is that level-12 alligators often spawn in the area. Players who can’t defend themselves from these critters should consider fishing elsewhere, or keep their eyes open and run away from the alligator if they are targeted by one.
4Greywater Camp
Close To A Teleporter
Some players like to fish in short bursts, as an activity to fill up a few minutes when waiting for something, such as group members to be ready for an activity. Greywater Camp is a great fishing location for this kind of gameplay.
There is a river right outside of the settlement, and, of course, the settlement itself has a hand teleportation tower inside. It is possible to teleport into the settlement, walk outside, and be fishing within seconds. When the player needs to leave, they just pack up their fishing rod and head back to the teleporter.
3Holt Town Decking
Exciting Fishing In A Polluted Zone
Holt Town is an excellent acid farming location, and it also has a very comfortable fishing area out on the rear decking at the back of the town. Here, players can fish, and then farm a little acid every few minutes as the handful of deviants on the decking respawn.
Landing fish can be a little tricky here though, as the decking is quite a way above the water. It takes a gentle hand to land fish without snapping the line here. However, for players who want to spice up their fishing with a little peril, this is a great location in thissurvival shooter.
2Chalk Peak Delta
Miles Of Waterways
As remote fishing locations go, it is hard to find anywhere better than Chalk Peak Delta inOnce Human. Several rivers combine into a large estuary, meaning there are miles of fishable banks, many with gently sloping beaches, where the fish can be seen swimming easily.
This location is over on the western edge of theopen-world map, almost at the map boundary, so players need to be careful that they do not go out of bounds, resulting in death. However, for real fishing aficionados, this is a fantastic place to get some fishing in.
1Tall Grass Inn Dock
Catch An Electric Eel
Tall Grass In is the second to last settlement that aOnce Humanplayer will visit as part of the storyline. It has a very nice dock within the boundaries of the settlement. This means that the player has direct access to a local teleportation station, and can quickly depart for elsewhere if they need to.
It has been confirmed that theElectric Eeldeviant can be captured from this doc. This is a very useful deviant, as once it has been put into a securement container, it will boost the amount of electricity produced by generators within a player base. Multiple can be captured to give a significant boost in power output.
