One of the four secret jobsinOctopath Traveler 2is a returning profession from the first game: Armsmaster. This job can use all six weapon types at once, but instead of spending job points to unlock skills, players must find and repair the six Divine Weapons scattered across Solistia.
This search begins when players knock down a Debt Collector standing in a doorway in the town of Gravell. Inside is the blacksmith Porta, who can identify any rusty weapons the travelers have found as divine weapons and restore them to working condition. Doing this the first time unlocks the Armsmaster job forOctopath Traveler 2, and each rusty weapon that’s found and restored will unlock a new skill. The Armsmaster character will need to equip the divine weapon to access these skills, but that’s hardly a problem since the Divine Weapons are some of the best in the game. However, they can be difficult to find.

Conquerer’s Sword
The Rusty Sword is a reward for the side story “The Sword in the Stone.” A Troubled Woman in Winterbloom is annoyed by a large sword stuck in a stone where she wants to plant a garden, and she suggests finding a miner’s pickaxe to break the stone and free the weapon.
Players can get a Sturdy Pickaxe from a Retired Miner who spends his days and nightsin the armorer of Oresrush. Bring it to the Troubled Woman, and she’ll break the stone. She doesn’t need a Rusty Sword, so she gives it to the party along with7,000 leavesand aRevitalizing Jam.

Bring the sword to Porta to get theConquerer’s Sword, which adds 200 physical attack and then another 250 when targeting broken foes. It also gives the Armsmaster skillCosmic Roar,a single-target attack that moves the wielder’s initiative to the end of the round but adds more damage depending on how many turns they skip.
Warlord’s Spear
Head to the Timberain Castle: Town Square area and go left to find a set of stairs down to the forest floor. Follow the path around to reach what appears to be a remote tower guarded by an Elderly Soldier. This soldier is a level 8 NPC, so taking him down can be difficult, butthe nighttime knockdown Path Actionalso works on him if players meet the right conditions.
Once he’s down, players can enter the room behind him and travel through a long tunnel to the right. At the far end of the tunnel is a chest with a Rusty Polearm inside. Bring it to Porta to get theWarlord’s Spear, which gives 310 physical attack and gives the wielder free Boost points when they defeat an enemy. The Armsmaster skill is Giant Swing, which targets every enemy and powers up the more enemies there are to hit.

Dancer’s Blade
In the middle of the Sundering Sea, players can find a shipwreck with a dock they can land on. This is the Shipwreck of the Empress, one of several optional dungeons in the game. The Danger Level is 48, but there’s no boss to fight at the end, which means players can explore the wreck at a relatively low level. At the end of the wreck is a chest, and inside the chest is a Rusty Dagger.
Give the reforgedDancer’s Bladeto the Armsmaster to give them 300 physical attack and a small chance to apply poison, blindness, confusion, or sleep. The dagger skill is Mischievous Step, which attacks random foes three times but adds more hits when there are more foes on the field.

Lionheart’s Axe
The Rusty Axe is in another optional dungeon, the Quicksand Gaol in the northwest corner of the Western Sai Sands. The chest with the axe is right in the middle of the sand sinkhole at the center of the dungeon, and in this case, it’s guarded by a boss called the Lord of the Sands. This is a giant sandworm that’s a more powerful version ofthe one Castti fightsduring her Sai chapter, but it shouldn’t be a difficult fight if players have already reached Gravell.
The rebornLionheart’s Axegives the Armsmaster 320 physical attack, and it raises their max HP with each strike. Sadly, their HP will reset to normal after the fight ends. The axe skill is On the Hunt, which attacks one foe twice and deals more damage when more weak points are revealed.

Hunter’s Bow
To find theHunter’s Bow, players must find the entrance to the Sinking Ruins in the Southern Nameless Village Traverse. The path there is long and winding, but players can find the start of it on the west side of the flooded part of the traverse.
The boss of the Sinking Ruins is called the Behemoth, and it’s the only creature in the gamethat can petrify the party. To counter this, be sure to have some Herb-of-Grace Buds on hand and have someone equip the Divine Necklace if players have found it.

After the battle, players can bring the Rusty Bow the Behemoth was guarding back to Porta. The divine bow offers 312 physical attack and has a chance to reduce a random attribute with each hit.
The Armsmaster skill is Flurry of Arrows: it targets every enemy, and if it breaks at least one foe, it triggers again (and can keep going from there).
Spiritlord’s Staff
To reach this optional dungeon, players must descend a pair of ladders in Borderfall and enter a cave concealed behind a waterfall.Depending on whenOctopath players reach it, the danger level of the Seat may be lower than Borderfall itself, and since there’s no boss monster, the Rusty Staff should be easy to reach.
An Armsmaster equipped with theSpiritlord’s Staffwill get 160 physical attack and 320 elemental attack, and the staff’s special ability is to recover 1 percent of the damage dealt as SP. The Armsmaster staff skill is Deliverance, a single-target attack that adds the wielder’s elemental attack bonus to the damage dealt.
Once players have recovered all six Divine Weapons, they’ll complete the side story “In Search of the Divine Weapons.”
The reward for doing this is20,000 leavesand theWise King’s Shield, which offers 110 physical and elemental defense and provides a physical defense boost at the start of each battle. The Armsmaster doesn’t need this shield to use any skills, but it’s definitely a shield the party should carry into the endgame.
