Similar to its predecessor,Echo Point Novafeatures fast-paced combat, a dazzling soundtrack, and an emphasis on mobility. However, it distinguishes itself with the addition of co-op and large open-world environments that allow for greater mobility and make space for larger enemies like mechs.Echo Point Novawas announced to release this year on theSevered SteelTwitter account which also encouraged players to wishlist the game on Steam where they can also view a trailer.
Greylock Studio developer Matthew Larrabee shared more teasers from the game on Twitter while adding that he has “taken lessons learned” from the development ofSevered Steeland applied them toEcho Point Nova. This could imply thatEcho Point Novacould be coming with some of the features that were included in thelatest majorSevered Steelupdatewhich added gyro controls, a flurry of new weapons and enemy types, and the “Rogue Steel” game mode which gave players access to randomly generated levels.
