Christmas is coming toLEGO Brawlswith an upcoming free update, which includes over 20 new holiday minifigures, a new stage, and a new game mode. The response toLEGO Brawlssince it launched on PC and consoles September 2 has been disappointing, but developer Red Games has followed through post-launch with routine updates. The holiday update is just the latest example, and will hopefully keepLEGO Brawlsplayers happy into the new year.

The holiday patch will follow upLEGO Brawls' previous content update, the Halloween-themed Brick-or-Treat event. The update included a wide variety ofspooky LEGO minifigures, allowing players to create their own zombie, witch, or other traditional Halloween monsters, Halloween decorations for multiple stages, and a candy-collecting new game mode. The free update rewardedLEGO Brawls' players for their continued support, if only with relatively thin content additions.

For Christmas,LEGO Brawlsis following the pattern it established with the Brick-or-Treat event. The new content included with the update starts with 22 “festive” minifigures. Players will recognize Santa Claus, elves, snowmen, and gingerbread people as joining the roster. Beyond the minifigures, there’s also an all-new Winter Wonderland stage to brawl on. This stage is also home to a newLEGO Brawlsgame mode where players compete to collect toys. Expect to see plenty ofLEGO Christmastrees, lights, candy canes, and snow.

The December holiday event will officially begin on December 1 and will last until December 31. It’s a free update, so allLEGO Brawlsplayerswill be able to participate, unlock the new minifigures, and try out the new game mode. Keep in mind that this is a limited-time event inLEGO Brawls. Once it’s over, it’s over. It could be brought back toLEGO Brawlsnext December, of course, but it could expand with new holiday content instead.

The very negative reviews forLEGO Brawlshave understandably put a dark cloud over the party fighting game. It has been available since 2019 on mobile devices and porting the game to PC and consoles have long been a top request. But post-launch has faltered and player numbers, at least on Steam where they’re tracked, have been dire. Red Games has continued to roll out patches, though, in hopes of bringing in a new audience and keepingLEGO Brawlsplayers happy.

The holiday season officially begins on December 1 via a free update. Players can choose to play a Santa or other LEGO minifigures, including characters fromNinjago,Jurassic World, and other popular LEGO themes. The event will last through December 31, after which Red Games will hopefully have another event planned.

LEGO Brawlsis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
