If the fans ofEmily in Parisenjoyed the beautiful French language in the show, they might be inclined to try out a French show.Call My Agentfocuses on four agents working at a Parisian talent agency whose jobs are just as complicated as Emily’s, if not more. And like Emily, they struggle to keep their work and personal life separated, but it doesn’t always work out the way they imagined.
The series provides a rare insight into a line of work that most viewers won’t be familiar with, which makes it fascinating. It helps that it also has an excellent cast and fun appearances of famous actors (such as Sigourney Weaver, to name just one) who play over-the-top versions of themselves.Call My Agenthas four seasons, so it provides even more binge-watching content thanEmily in Paris.

6Dash & Lily
This New York-centered showtakes place during Christmas, which makes it magical, different than Paris is, but still full of charm. The two main heroes eventually find their way to each other but not before they grow as people and also figure out some stuff about themselves and life in general.
Dash & LilyandEmily in Parisboth come across as feel-good stories about intelligent young people, who, nonetheless, make mistakes in life. But nothing too serious that couldn’t be fixed. SinceDash & Lilyonly has a single season, it’s easy to binge-watch the series fast, as it’s also streaming on Netflix.

5The Duchess
Character-wise, Katherine, the main heroine of this show, couldn’t be further away from Emily. Katherine is cynical and often rude toward people while Emily is sweet and does her best to befriend others. Yet what connects them is that they’re not doing so well when it comes to love and romance.

Emily pines after Gabriel while Katherine is deciding whether to have another child with her ex-boyfriend, whom she can’t stand.The Duchesshas a unique sense of humor that won’t sit well with everyone but those who will enjoy Katherine’s personality will get a memorable six-episode story. The 2020 series was canceled after just one season, which makes it easy to stream it on Netflix in a short time.
4Gilmore Girls
Gilmore Girlsis one of the classics, and for a good reason. It’s in many ways relatable yet fun to watch as the main heroines struggle with their lives, just like Emily does after she arrives in Paris. The Gilmore Girls, Rory, Lorelai, and Emily each have to deal with a lot, but they manage to work more or less in the end.
The show created many ship-worthy couples so the viewers who are looking for somebody new to ship other than Emily and one of her boyfriends shouldn’t miss out on watchingGilmore Girlsif they haven’t seen it before.

3Glow
Glowtakes place in a different time period thanEmily in Paris,in the 1980s. Yet the shows' main heroines have a lot of things in common, most notably their ambition and drive to succeed even if it causes trouble for them in other aspects of their lives.

It’s difficult to imagine Emily competing in a ring, but she’d no doubt find a common word with Alison Brie’s Ruth, and they might even become friends.Glowran for three seasons between 2017 and 2019, so anybody who wants to try the show out at least won’t have to wait for new episodes to premiere.
2Lupin
While this show has very few things in common, it’s still one of the best recent French series streaming on Netflix. Everybody who loves France, the French language, and wants to see more of Parisshould giveLupina chance. It helps that Omar Sy shines as Lupin, the intelligent thief-gentleman who’s after revenge and will use his brilliant mind as well as his charm and bold plans to achieve it.
Even though Lupin moves on the wrong side of the law, it’s easy to understand where he’s coming from and cheer him on, which isn’t the only reason why binge-watchingLupinis a good idea.

1Never Have I Ever
Never Have I EverandEmily in Parishave different main heroines, both age-wise and considering their background. What makes them similar is that they come across as feel-good stories with sympathetic heroes. Based on the real-life experiences of Mindy Kaling,Never Have I Everis a sitcomthat focuses on a young girl who lost her dad, wants to find love, and above all else, just be popular in school.
That proves difficult for her as her classmates like her no more than Emily’s Parisian co-workers do, at least at the beginning. Both series then manage to include humorous and dramatic scenes and mix them into a coherent whole.
